Like an apple tree among the trees of the woods, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down in his shade with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. I sleep, but my heart is awake; it is the voice of my beloved!

He knocks, saying, “Open for me, my sister, my love, my dove, my perfect one; For my head is covered with dew, My locks with the drops of the night.”

I have taken off my robe; how can I put it on again? I have washed my feet; how can I defile them? My beloved put his hand by the latch of the door, and my heart yearned for him. I arose to open for my beloved, and my hands dripped with myrrh, my fingers with liquid myrrh, on the handles of the lock.

I opened for my beloved, but my beloved had turned away and was gone. I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer. I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if you find my beloved, that you tell him I am lovesick! (Songs of Solomon 2:3; 5:2-8)

Today is the conclusion of our series to encourage and appreciate the men in our life and community. Indeed, men are a blessing to us because they are the backbone of the family and community. They need to know that we appreciate them.

I will, therefore, share my final serenade to the men. It is a summary of all the topics that we shared with you for the month of June. By clicking on the links, it will take you to each post so that you can once again read and be blessed.

I Will Search, and I Will Find You!

Man! Oh, that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleads for his neighbor! (Job 16:21). Like a lovesick maiden, we will continue to search for you until we find you.

Man! Created in the image and likeness of God! A Man of Power and Authority; A man of integrity and honesty is the type of man that every mature single lady is searching for.

Though you may fall from time to time, you can get back on your feet by righting the wrong and returning to the beginning so that you can know who your real enemy is. The enemy who told you that you were naked and instilled shame and failure in your life. God is able to restore you to your original position in him.

As fathers, you have been given a mandate from God to teach and protect your children. Teach your children honor and respect so that they can learn to cover you under the blood of Jesus Christ.

You also need to put your total trust in God. It is by your faith that you will believe that God can bring to life a spiritually dead heart that lack zeal and passion. The dead man can surely live again by the resurrected power of Jesus Christ.

God ordained you to be the head of your household so you need to always stand guard because death lies at your door. The dead spirits of pride, fear, anger, and all the other evil spirits from the enemy. Remember you will always overcome any obstacles from the enemy by walking with God. You will also live a healthy and long life.

Behold children are our heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward (Psalms 127:3).  The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him (Proverbs 20:7).

Therefore, when God has blessed you with children, look after them with diligence and love because you do not want your child to grow up without a father and spend the rest of his life searching for a father.

God created marriage to protect and unite the family; and to ultimately produce a more peaceful and loving society. The enemy is against God’s great plan for us so he is always attacking marriages. He creates friction between husbands and wives making you believe that you are the boss and she is subordinate.

Do not fall for the lies and tricks of the enemy because if teeth and tongue meet, it will not be in your marriage because you have made a commitment to God that you will not fight fire with fire. Instead, you will quench fire with the refreshing water of the Holy Spirit and the word of God.

So wait on the Lord be of good courage and He will strengthen your heart (Psalms 27:14). The Lord will give you wisdom and understanding to guide your household. He will teach you that marriage is not about the material things such as the wedding ring or the house and car. Marriage is all about love, peace, and harmony.

Continue to serve the Lord with all your heart and soul; give Him one hundred percent of yourself and He will give you His all. The Lord is calling you into higher heights and deeper love for Him.

He wants you to rest in His secret place because when you rest in Him you will be rested from all your labor. This rest is the spiritual ‘work’ that God requires from you.

The work of the Lord is not about doing the physical things in the church such as playing the music, setting up the equipment, organizing church functions etc. While these are important they should not supersede your family.

Finally, rest assure in the fact that we are praying for you. We are praying that God will guide and strengthen you so that you may rise to the challenge of becoming kings, priests and prophets in your families and communities.

We believe and we know that the strongholds of the enemy have been broken because he has already been defeated by the blood of the lamb and by the words of our testimony.

Therefore, I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints… (Ephesians 1:17-23)
