Dead Man Live Again
Is it possible for the dead to live again?
The news media and the internet broadcasted several stories of men being raised from the dead. One such story was told by the German international evangelist – Reinhard Bonnke in an interview with the 700 club. He said that A Nigerian man died in a motor vehicle accident, and he was embalmed with chemicals.
The man’s wife had a promise from God that the woman will receive back their dead by resurrection. She believed God and took her husband to one of the evangelist’s crusade in Nigeria. It was during the service that the man began to breathe as he received life from God.
The Bible also told the story of Lazarus, who was sick. His sisters sent for Jesus to heal him, but he delayed for a few days. Finally, when Jesus arrived at Lazarus’s home, he discovered that he had died and was buried in the grave for four days.
Lazarus’s sisters were grieving, and they lost hope. But it is never too late for Jesus because He is the resurrection and the life. Jesus went to the grave of Lazarus and commanded that they removed the stone that covered the grave. Christ then gave thanks to the Father and called forth Lazarus from the grave.
Immediately Lazarus who was dead got up and walked out of the tomb still bound hands and feet in his grave clothes. Jesus commanded that they loosed him from the trappings of the grave and released him from the stench of death and set him free. (John 11:1-45)
The Webster’s dictionary defines Death as the end of life. It is the time when someone’s vital functions stop. But it is not only the body that dies but your spirit can also die even while your body is alive.
The story is told of Abigail’s foolish husband — Nabal — who refused to help David in his time of need even though David had protected Nabal’s shepherds with their flocks from wild animals and thieves. Nabal refused to recompense good for good, and so David decided to attack Nabal’s entire household and kill them.
The servants of Nabal heard about David’s plan and quickly went to Nabal’s wife, Abigail, and told her of their impending doom. Abigail was a woman of wisdom and so without her husband’s knowledge, she packed food and supplies and hurried to meet David and his men.
When she found him, she gave him the goods and begged him to forgive her foolish husband. David conceded and turned from his decision to destroy Nabal’s household. (1 Samuel 25)
When Abigail returned home, she found her husband feasting and drinking. He was very drunk, totally unaware of his intended destruction. The following morning when Nabal was sober, Abigail related the entire incident to him, and his heart died within him, and he became as stone. Ten days later the Lord struck Nabal, and he died. (1 Samuel 25:37-38)
Note that the bible said that Nabal’s heart died within him upon hearing his wife’s actions. This heart referred to his spiritual heart and not his natural heart. When Nabal’s spiritual heart died, he became as stone which meant he became hardened without life or zeal like an empty vessel. Thus, he appeared dazed or blank and devoid of feelings.
Many fathers exist with a dead spiritual heart. This state of being may result from persistent disobedience and stubbornness, behaving foolishly, living a promiscuous and wildlife, and a series of broken relationships and marriages.
A man with a dead spiritual heart displays a lack of zeal similar to Nabal. They have low self-esteem, are constantly depressed, hold on to the past, lost hope, separate themselves from God. They exist as empty vessels or dry bones.
If you are experiencing the above symptoms and you believe that your spiritual heart is dead, there is still hope because Jesus said,
“I am the resurrection and the life: he that believe in me though he was dead, yet he shall live: and whoever live and believe in me will never die.” Do you believe this? (John 11:25-26)
I implore you to believe the words of Christ that He can raise and deliver you from the dead. Therefore, exercise your faith by opening your mouth and prophecy to the dry and dead bones in your life.
Declare over your life,
“Oh, dry bones hear the word of the Lord!
Thus says the Lord God,
“In this instance, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live, I will put muscle on you and bring flesh upon you.
I will cover you with skin and breathe within you, and you shall live. Then you shall know that I AM the Lord”Said the Lord our God. (Ezekiel 37:4)
Fathers do not lose hope or surrender to the tricks of the enemy because the Lord can heal, restore and make you whole. So prophecy life over your spirit, soul, and body.

The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him. (Proverbs 20:7)
Men in general need so much encouragement. Many do not have the kind of spiritual support and mentoring of a strong male figure in their life that will hold them accountable and keep them on the path of life. They need good role models. That’s when we will see real change and transformation.
