The Vincent Ehindero Award
I praise the Lord for my precious blogging friend, Gail who nominated me for the Vincent Ehindero Award.
Gail loves the Lord with all her heart and her devotion to the Lord is visible in her writings which you will enjoy on her blog Gail Loves God
Your support on her blog will be highly appreciated.
This blog was created by Vincent to help promote your blogs and meet other bloggers.
Here are the RULES to follow 👇🏽💐
1. Thank the person that nominated you with a link to their blog
2. Make a post of the award (with photo)
3. Post the rules
4. Ask 5-10 questions of your choice
5. Nominate 10-30 other bloggers (or more) and notify them.
6. Follow Vincent Ehindero @ vincentehindero.wordpress.com (to qualify for a free blog promotion and shout out) and more blogging opportunities.
Questions from Gail
- How do you spend time relaxing?
- What country do you live in?
- What are two of your favorite blogging topics?
- What is your favorite food?
- How often do you blog?
- Are you a great cook?
- How were you inspired to blog?
Answers to Gail’s questions.
- To relax I like to write and watch Youtube videos.
- I am a Jamaican living in the British Birgin Islands.
- My favorite blogging topics are the categories: Living victoriously and Signs of the Times.
- My favorite food is Oxtail, Curried Goat, and Ackee and Saltfish.
- I tried to publish a blog post at least four times per week. I reserved Fridays for funny jokes and Saturdays to respond to awards. On the other days, I write on topics that are inspired by the Holy Spirit. Sometimes I do get “writer’s block.”
- Jamaicans are great cooks, but I considered myself an average cook.🙂
- The Lord inspired me to start this blog. You can read more about the reason I started my blog here and my first anniversary.
I will open the floor to anyone who would like to respond to this award. They are free to answer the same questions.
Thank you for reading.
Congratulations. Lovely answers. God bless, I love oxtail and ackee and saltfish as well…from living in NY and many Jamaican friends.

Dawn I am wondering if you are still able to see my blog
LikeLiked by 2 people
No I cannot. It says the site is no longer available when I click on your name. And it also says the site has been deleted.

I don’t know what is happening because there are a lot of sites I see that happen to. People would comment and when I try to answer I only see that site is no longer available.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yeah I’ve seen that happen with other sites too. It must be a glitch with WordPress. Maybe try contacting customer service.

Yeah that’s the only way. I have notice that I am not seeing a lot of people I was thinking maybe because of the pandemic and people become distracted

Maybe so, everything is crazy now. But I can still get to you by going into the section with all the sites listed that I follow.

Yes that a good idea there Dawn

I went on your site the other night to write to you and I don’t see a contact page on your site

This is the only way I could get to you. I kept wondering what has happen to you but I would see your comments with some other bloggers

Yep I’m still here lol. I don’t think I have a contact page. I’ll have to look into adding that.

That would be good for your site. I hope WordPress do something about this. I remember some time ago I couldn’t get Beverley for about two weeks. She was the one who realized the problem.

If you know their web address you can manually add them by typing in the web address in the followed sites section.

Maurice, is your site premium? I believe that these problems developed if the sites are not premium.

I would try contacting WP to see if they can fix the issue. I contacted them earlier this week about notification issues I was having and they fixed it.

Congratulations, Beverly! I’ve never had curried goat, oxtail, or salt fish. I don’t know what ackee is! I enjoy your blog!

Thank you my dear. Ackee is fruit grown in the caribbean. It is jamaica national dish. Below is a link to the dish.

Thank you! It is thoughtful of you to send me a link to your national dish! It does sound delicious. Our national dish in the USA is hamburgers, brownies or apple pie!

Well, I did not know this! Hamburgers, bownies and apple pie! Nice combination!🙂. I thought the national dish was steak.

PTL! Congrats on your Vincent Ehindero Award, Doreen! I enjoyed reading your answers.
Is oxtail actually the tail of an ox?? Never tires it before.
Thank you for your kind words. I am blessed with your sweet friendship!
Me and God love you! 🙂

Thank you Gail. Yes, the meat is the tail of the cow or ox. It is good.

😲 I didn’t know that was a menu item. Guess that’s what the elders meant by not letting any part of the animal go to waste. 😁

Congratulations once again Beverley! 👍It is a delicious goat dish. Here, in another Island country, we utilized the skin and entrails too.

Okay. Great. We have a lot of Filipinos living in the BVI. I use to share an apartment complex with them. One of my dear friend and former coworker is from the Philippines. He died suddenly of an heart attack a few years ago. We were devastated. Below is a link to a tribute I wrote about him on my blog. I still missed him and think about him. He was a wonderful person.
As I read the tribut once again it brought tears to me eyes. He was well loved by everyone whose path he crossed. You are free to share this tribute to your friends and family.
