Maintaining your freedom in Christ.

Day eleven of our fourteen days of prayer.

Stand fast, therefore, in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

When you are free it means you are at liberty to do anything under the law of the land.

When you are free in Christ it means you are free from the shackles of sin because His atonement canceled all sins.

Best of all, the death of the Lord Jesus Christ removed the veil that separated us from entering the holiest place where God dwells.

Hence, we are free to sit in the presence of God and have sweet fellowship with Him.

Then King David went in and sat before the Lord; and he said: “Who am I, O Lord God? And what is my house, that You have brought me this far?  (2 Samuel 7:18)

Our prayer this morning is pattern from David’s prayer to God when he sat in His presence.

When you repeat this prayer insert your name and personalized it.

Sit before the Lord and enjoy His presence.

Let us pray

Then David went into the Tabernacle and sat before the Lord and prayed,

“O Lord God, why have you showered your blessings on such an insignificant person as I am? And now, in addition to everything else, you speak of giving me an eternal dynasty! Such generosity is far beyond any human standard!

O Lord God! What can I say? For you know what I am like! You are doing all these things just because you promised to and because you want to! How great you are, Lord God! We have never heard of any other God like you. And there is no other God.

What other nation in all the earth has received such blessings as Israel, your people? For you have rescued your chosen nation in order to bring glory to your name. You have done great miracles to destroy Egypt and its gods. 

You chose Israel to be your people forever, and you became our God.  “And now, Lord God, do as you have promised concerning me and my family.

And may you be eternally honored when you have established Israel as your people and have established my dynasty before you.

For you have revealed to me, O Lord of heaven, God of Israel, that I am the first of a dynasty which will rule your people forever; that is why I have been bold enough to pray this prayer of acceptance. 

For you are indeed God, and your words are truth; and you have promised me these good things— so do as you have promised!

Bless me and my family forever! May our dynasty continue on and on before you; for you, Lord God, have promised it.” (2 Samuel 7:18-29 TLB)

AMEN!

Sometimes your blessings appeared wrapped in unexpected packages and delivered by unexpected sources.

That is how God works so that He will be glorified

A couple weeks ago the Lord inspired me to have fourteen days of prayer to end 2019.

I am on the tenth day and already there has been a breakthrough in my personal life.

Yesterday, I received a financial blessing from an unexpected source.

As a result, I will be able to pay some bills that have been lagging behind for some months.

Glory to God!

Thank you, Lord!

“Cast your net on the other side.”

This is the Word that the Lord sent to me at a prayer session at church.

It was difficult to obey because of my dire circumstances.

“Nevertheless, at His Word,” I obeyed.

Now I am reaping the beginning of a bountiful harvest.
