Key Principles to Trust in God’s Plans

We all aspire to achieve successful lives filled with health, wealth and fame.

However, plans often fail, leading to disappointment.

It is essential to remember that while we devise our own plans the ultimate direction comes from the Lord.

When faced with setbacks, instead of giving up, we should follow God’s path. Key principles include waiting on the Lord, which fosters courage, humility, hope, and renewed strength. Scriptures like Psalms 27:14 and Isaiah 40:31 highlight the benefits of patience. Ultimately, God promises a hopeful future for those who seek Him wholeheartedly, as expressed in Jeremiah 29:11-14.

You may feel disappointed when your plans failed but don’t give up. Simply follow the path of the Lord.

Key Principles to follow to know the plans of God.

Wait on the Lord

When you patiently wait on the Lord your eyes will be opened to the best plans that God has in store for you.

Waiting on the Lord will humble you. When you humble yourself the Lord will exalt you in due season (Psalms 37:34).

Waiting on the Lord will give you hope (Isaiah 8:17)

Your strength will be renewed when you wait on the Lord (Isaiah 40:31).

  1. Great post. I’ve been working on waiting on God and His plans. This verse also reminds me that God is at work:

    Do not call to mind the former things, Or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth;
    Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert. – Isaiah 43:18-19

  2. Thank you Beverley. I love how you mentioned courage as a key factor in trusting God and waiting on Him. It does take courage not to run ahead with our own plans.
