Give Your Treasure And Become A Treasure
What is it that you cherished the most in your life?
The things that you cherish are anything or anyone that you think about more often or anything that you spend most of your time with.
It could be your job, your children, your talent, your money and possessions, or it may be yourself.
Whatever it is that you love the most is your treasure.
Where your treasure is your heart is there also and it becomes first in your life (Matthew 6:21).
Your treasure should, therefore, be your sacrificial gift to God.
Thou shalt not delay to offer the first of thy ripe fruits, and of thy liquors: the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me. (Exodus 22:29)
One of the laws of God in the Old Testament is that ylthe Israelites give the first fruit to God.

All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the firstfruits of them which they shall offer unto the Lord, them have I given thee. (Numbers 18:13)
Firstfruit means the first of the harvest or produce of the land (Deuteronomy 26:2; Nehemiah 10:35-37).
It also applied to their first child who should be dedicated as holy unto the Lord.
In our dispensation, most churches equate first fruit with monetary gifts.
However, I believe that the most significant first fruit is whatever you value most in your life.
When you give or dedicate your valuable treasures to the Lord, He will in turn make you a peculiar treasure unto Him above all people (Exodus 1:11)
Additionally, the Lord will open His good treasure in heaven to give you seasonal rain on your land.
The Lord will also bless the work of your hands and you will lend or give and never borrow (Deuteronomy 28:12)
Your treasures are your best gifts to God and God deserves the best.
Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the first fruits of all your increase, so your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine. (Proverbs 3: 9-10)
Whatever you cherish most in your life give it to the Lord and He will reward you richly.
Amen. it is truly more blessed to give than to receive. Keep up the good work Beverly. Love the devotionals.
Have a blessed day.

“Where your treasure is your heart is there also and it becomes first in your life (Matthew 6:21).” One of my favourite bible verses. The Holy Spirit helps me to always use this as a heart check

We certainly should remind ourselves of where our treasures are. We have to be mindful not to store them on earth. Have a blessed weekend.
