Do You Know God?

Do you understand God?

Can you apprehend God clearly and with certainty?

Have you fixed God in your mind and memory?

You may know how to study the scripture rightly dividing the Word of God.

But, do you know God?

You can preach and teach eloquently, and you have the ability to captivate an audience.

But, do you know God?

You are endowed with the gift of prophecy and you understand all mysteries.

But, do you know God?

You are filled with knowledge and can descern all things.

But, do you know God?

You know how to speak with the tongues of men and angels. You have the tongue of the learned and you know how to speak a word in season to strengthen the weary.

But, do you know God?

You are a talented musician and you can compose and sing inspiring and melodious songs.

But, do you know God?

You are a giver because it is more blessed to give than to receive. So, you give to the poor, you give to the Church, you give to your family, friends and even strangers.

You empty your all in giving and you are even prepared to give your body to be burn.

But, do you know God?

You pray three times per day, you fast twice per week and you give tithes of all your possessions.

But, do you know God?

“I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me,” Says the Lord ( Isaiah 45:5)

Therefore I said, surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God. (Jeremiah 5:4)

You have done everything, yet the Lord is saying you do not know Him!

You may think that you know God by your earthly wisdom, your long prayers and your daily devotions in studying the Word, but you have fallen short because the knowledge of God is still far above your reach.

It is impossible for you to know God, but it is possible for God to allow you to know Him.

Knowing God means He has to reveal Himself to you.

Yes! You can only know God when He gives you His Spirit of wisdom and revelation to know Him.

“And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart,” says the Lord. (Jeremiah 24:7)

Only God can give you a heart to know Him that He is Lord.

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14)

Supernatural benefits of knowing God.

Simply, ask the Lord for His Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him and He will enlighten the eyes of your understanding so that you will know the hope of His calling.

God will open your heart and mind to know what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints and to know the exceeding greatness of His power when you believe in Him.

Do you know what this power is?

This power is similar (according) to the working of God’s mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

Furthermore:

God put all things under His (Christ) feet and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. ( Ephesians 1:17-23)

You have inherited this supernatural power through Christ.

Oh that you may know the Lord and the power of His resurrection!

You will count all things (your earthly possessions, gifts, and calling) as nothing for the excellence of the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

AMEN!

  1. Maybe it can be done with someone less stubborn, but for me all the head knowledge of God and His Word never materialized into a deep relationship with Him until I was completely broken. I now appreciate the immense value of brokenness.❤
