Teach Me To Hold My Tongue

Your tongue can become uncontrollable and wild when you indulge in sin.

For your iniquity teaches your mouth, and you choose the tongue of the crafty. (Job 15:5)
A wild tongue will backbite, gossip, lie, curse and swear. The tongue is hard to tame, but God is able to touch your lips and cleanse your heart and tongue.

Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill?

He who walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart. He who does not backbite with his tongue,

nor does evil to his neighbor, nor does he take up a reproach against his friend. (Psalms 15:1-3)
