The Nehushtan Spirit
This is a spirit of contempt!
When Satan contaminated the work that God began, it becomes a Nehushtan in His eyes. God no longer honors that work.
For example, the bronze image of the serpent that God commanded Moses to make in the wilderness to save the Israelites, later became a Nehushtan when the people began to worship it. (Numbers 21:1-9; 2 Kings 18:4)
Satan is an imposter. He does not create anything good. He follows God to deceive, copy and defile.
A historical look at Satan’s defilement.
1. Demoralization of humanity
God created a perfect world with honorable humans to rule over it.
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. “ (Genesis 1:26 )
Satan changed into a serpent and deceived Eve, and the couple surrendered their authority to the serpent.
Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings (Genesis 3:7)
Men became contaminated with sin and the earth was cursed (Genesis 3: 17-18). But, God quickly made restitution for sin through the Seed of a woman.
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel. (Genesis3:15)
2. The marked generation
After Adam and Eve were driven from the Garden of Eden, Adam knew his wife and she gave birth to a son whom she called Cain. Later she gave birth to a second child – Abel.
Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, “I have acquired a man from the Lord.” Then she bore again, this time his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. (Genesis 4:1-3)
Cain was the firstborn so He was chosen to be the carrier of the seed who would crush the serpent’s head. However, as the story unfolded we learned that Satan infiltrated Cain’s heart with jealousy and anger after his sacrifice was not accepted. But God accepted Able and chose him to be the generation of the promised seed (Genesis 4:2-8).
So the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” (Genesis 4:6-7)

In a fit of jealous rage, Cain killed his brother Abel. He refused to repent and God placed a marked on him which was also passed on to his generation. It was the mark of sin (Genesis 4:10-24).
And the Lord said to him, “Therefore, whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord set a mark on Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him. (Genesis 4:15)
Eventually, Eve gave birth to a third son whom God appointed as the seed instead of Abel. The generation of Seth served the Lord
And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth, “For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed.” And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh. Then men began to call on the name of the Lord. (Genesis 4:25-26)
3. The corrupted earth
Satan and his rebellious angels decided to defile the entire descendants of Cain and Seth (the appointed seed) in order to contaminate the seed of the woman.
Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. (Genesis 6:1-2)
The sons of God (fallen angels) defiled the women and produced offspring who were giants. The entire earth became a contempt in the eyes of the Lord and He regretted that He had made mankind.
God decided to destroy the entire corrupted humanity except for one man who was perfect in his generation.
Noah found grace and favor in the eyes of the Lord. So, God separated Noah and his family and placed them into an Ark to save them from the great flood (Genesis 6-8).
The flood washed away all of the abominations and the contaminated generations into the depths of the sea.
4. The defiant generation
After the flood, Satan corrupted the heart of one of Noah’ s son (Ham) and He defiled himself by exposing his father’s nakedness and was cursed along with all his descendants.
The descendants of Ham resurrected the ancient knowledge of the fallen angels and decided to build a city in defiance against God (Genesis 10-11).
They united together and created technology that could transport them into the heavenly. God decided to intervene before they destroy the earth.

The city of confusion is broken down; Every house is shut up, so that none may go in. (Isaiah 24:10)
But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.
Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city. (Genesis 11:5-9)
God confounded their language and scattered them all over the face of the earth.
However, wherever the people settled, they used the bits and pieces of the corrupted knowledge they remembered to continue to defile themselves.
So God decided to create a generation after His own heart through the seeds of Abraham. God gave them a land to settle.
It was the land of the descendants of Ham whose bloodline was once again contaminated by the seeds of fallen angels.
There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.” (Numbers 13:33)
God chose the generation of Abraham (Israelites) to conquer the polluted inhabitants and took possession of their land.
5. The desecrated temple and altars
6. The corrupted Church
Get out of Babylon before it is too late!
7. Satan’s great conspiracy
How do I know this?
Is there anything in your life that God began, but you can’t seem to complete it?
The good work that God began in you can become corrupted if you allow the evil spirits from Satan’s kingdom such as greed, pride, lust, bitterness, unforgiveness to enter your life.
God wants to accomplish the great plans that He has for your life. He wants to finish what He has begun in you.
Ensure that you continue to walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise redeeming the time because the days are evil.
If you would like a deeper knowledge of how you can become a part of God’s elect and be protected from the wrath of God you can get it here.
If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. (1 Corinthians 3:17 )
I was truly blessed by these inspiring word, if we only understand the work of Christ . and the love that he shed on Calvary cross for us, we could think more earnestly to follow in his footsteps.

You are so right Conroy. I believe that as Christians we sometimes don’t appreciate the work that Christ has done and is still doing for us. Thank you. Have a bless week.
