Promises That Cannot Be Broken

What are some of the everlasting promises of God to His children?

Love

The love of God towards us is immeasurable and binding. Nothing in this world can separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:37-39).

The love of God is unconditional.

The love of God saves us from the destructive consequences of sin and gives us everlasting life (John 3:16).

Praise the Lord!

The love of God draws us into sweet fellowship and communion with Him.

We become the children of God because of His great love for us (1 John 3:1).

This perfect love has been poured out into our hearts by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). Hence we are able to love each other with the love He has given to us.

The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.

(Jeremiah 31:3 NKJV)

Grace

We are saved by the grace of God and not because of any works that we have done.

The Lord will provide a remnant of escape during tribulation because of grace.

The God of all grace will perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle us.

…that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

(Titus 3:7 NKJV)

Mercy

The Lord extends continuous kindness and patience toward us because of His everlasting mercy.

The God of mercy will always come to your rescue, so you can trust in the mercy of God.

Because the Lord is merciful to us He also requires from us to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him.

But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children, to such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them.

(Psalms 103: 17-18 NKJV)

Additional References: Psalms 59:10-17; Psalms 86:15; Micah 6:8.

Comfort

Wherever you go and whatever difficulties you may encounter, you will not be fearful because you will be comforted by the rod and staff of the Good Shepherd.

We are comforted knowing that the Lord is a God of justice and He will remove our oppressions. He will avenge the adversary and comfort those who Mourne.

Because the Lord comforts us during difficult times we are able to comfort those who are in trouble with the same comfort that He gave us.

In the multitude of my anxieties within me, your comforts delight my soul.

(Psalms 94:19 NKJV)

Hope

If we do not have anyone to encourage us when we are in distress, we can encourage ourselves in the Lord because our hope is in Him.

We are happy knowing that our hope is in the Lord.

Our hope in God will not be disappointed because of the love that He has poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit whom He has given to us.

We must always have the Lord Jesus Christ in our hearts and be ready to defend our faith if anyone questions the hope that is within us.

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance.

(Psalms 42:5 NKJV)

Strength

We should activate the gifts that God has given us and do them with all the strength and energy that God supplies so that they will bring glory to God.

The strength of the wicked will be shattered but we can be confident that God will give His children strength during adversary.

In quietness and confidence, you will gain strength when you return and rest in the Lord.

Some people trust in chariots and horses, some people believe in science and technology but we will always trust in the name of the Lord our God because He will save us with the strength of His right hand.

Therefore, the wicked will bow down and fallen but we will arise and stand upright in Jesus name.

Thank you, O’ Lord!

Hallelujah!

Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever.

(Psalms 73:25-26 NKJV)

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

(Jude 1:20-21 NKJV)

My prayer for you today is that “the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.” (2 Corinthians 13:14)
