My church district has just completed an anointed filled crusade under the theme changing lens for 20/20 vision. Indeed, the time spent in worshipping, praising, hearing and receiving the messages has been a tremendous blessing and confirmation of God’s word over my life.

I decided to seek the Lord for further clarification of His words regarding the visions that He has put forward for the Church.

The theme of the convention is twofold. First, it is God’s vision for our personal life and the vision of the Church for the year 2020.

God has a divine purpose for every individual which is your destiny. Many people will not fulfill their purpose in this life because of disobedience to the Lord.

We all want to hear a word from God but when the word comes to us, if it is not wrapped in the package which we expect some of us will not receive it.

Always remember that the Lord will use the simple or base things of this world, the foolish things, the weak and despised things to confound or put to shame the wise and mighty (1 Corinthians 1:27-31).

Therefore, God’s word will come to you in unexpected places. He used a burning bush to speak to Moses. God knew that Moses inquisitive nature would compel him to investigate a bush that was burning with fire but not consumed (Exodus 3:1-3).

The Church is lacking in vision and where there is no vision the people perish. Hence, we are currently dying due to lack of vision and knowledge. There is also a decrease in the growth of the Church because of lack of vision.

Look at yourself through the eyes of a child and you will see the truth.

There are several spiritual strongholds over the Church that are obstructing the lens of the Church.

According to the prophet Joel, in this latter time, the Lord will pour out His spirit upon all flesh; our sons and daughters will prophesy; our old men will dream dreams, and our young men will see visions (Joel 2:28-29).

But we hardly see the fulfillment of these words because of these spiritual strongholds over the Church. These strongholds have also become stumbling blocks to unbelievers.

These spiritual strongholds or stumbling blocks are pride and deception, the religious spirit, Jezebel spirit, Balaam spirit, the sin of witchcraft, the dead and lukewarm spirits.

For further clarification about these evil spirits, you can follow the links. If we continue to entertain these demonic spirits in our lives, we will not receive the vision that God has for us.

Thus, the Lord is imploring us to eradicate these spirits from our lives because if we do not we will face the judgment of God. Every single one of us is guilty of one or more of the characteristics of these demonic spirits, so we need to repent and pray the following prayer:

Prayer

Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way (spiritual stumbling blocks) in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Psalms 139:23-24)

Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from violent men, who have purposed to make my steps stumble (Psalms 140:4). In Jesus name, amen.

The Lord will cleanse your heart and prepare you to receive His words. We also need to ask the Lord for His Spirit of wisdom and revelation to know Him so that the eyes of our understanding will be enlightened. When our eyes are opened to the knowledge of God, we will know the hope of His calling, the riches, and glory of His inheritance to us.

We will know the exceeding greatness of the power of God to us who believe. It is the same power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in heavenly places.

Christ is positioned far above all principality, power, and might and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come (Ephesians 1:17-21).

In other words, the power that God gave us through Jesus Christ can break every spiritual stronghold so that we see the spiritual realm.

About five years ago the Lord changed the lens of my eyes so that I could view the realm of the spirit. Fear had tormented my life and made my bed hell but when I cried out to God He rescued me.

The Lord also showed me an image of the Church that He desires. It is a transform Church both physically and spiritually consisting of people who are filled with the fullness of God and has pledged their complete commitment to Him.

The physical building of the church sanctuary composed of three walls and the front is totally opened to the public.

Every single member of the Church will become a servant to the public where we feed the poor, clothe the naked, council the broken hearted, release the captives and teach the word of God in every form.

The Lord wants us to instruct His words through music, finances, recreation and talents. We will instruct the young and old, the believers and unbelievers so that everyone will grow in the knowledge and power of God.

The church tabernacle will not be a building consisting of benches for the members to sit and receive but it will become a rescue mission to the unbelievers and sinners where the members will minister and give to them.

The building will consist of a kitchen to feed the hungry, classrooms to help the children, recording/music studio to create music for the glory of God, workshops to teach trades to the unskilled. 

The building will be opened 24/7 to rescue the perishing and care for the dying.

When the Lord showed me this vision, I asked Him what should I do with it seeing that I am not a Pastor or leader of a Church. The Lord told me to let the vision begins with me, and all I need to do is to obey His words, and He will bring it to pass.

Since then I have been submitting to the Lord, praying for the Church and waiting on God for the fulfillment of His word.
