The Victory Shout

1–2 minutes

How praise can overcome obstacles

And the seventh time it happened, when the priests blew the trumpets, that Joshua said to the people:

“Shout, for the Lord has given you the city!” (Joshua 6:16 NKJV)

The above passage emphasizes the power of praise and trust in God as demonstrated in the biblical account of Joshua and the falling of Jericho’s walls.

It encourages believers not to seek vengeance or defend themselves against enemies, but rather to rely on divine intervention through praise.

The priests’ trumpets signal the moment for the people to shout, affirming their faith that the Lord will deliver the city to them.

By doing so, they are instructed to move forward with confidence, as their obedience and praise will result in victory and the fulfillment of God’s promises.

There is power in your praise!

You do not have to defend yourself against the enemies.

You do not need to take revenge.

Just praise the Lord and trust Him!

Are you surrounded by the enemy?

Never fear just lift up your voice and praise the Lord!

  1. Praise and worship. Paul and Silas did that while in the jail in Philippi and an earthquake shook the place freeing them and then the church was born there.

    1. Paul and Silas praising God in prison is a perfect example of the victory shout. They proclaim victory in the spiritual realm and then it manifested physically. Thanks for sharing

  2. Thank Beverley! When we feel beat down by circumstances in life, praise is a way out! Sometimes, I find myself complaining, instead I should be praising! 🙌🏿

    1. As humans, the easiest thing to do is to complain, but with God’s help, we can overcome and give Him thanks instead. Have a great week.
