February 12, 2026
About a week ago, on February 23, 2026, while I was at work, I heard a rumbling sound outside and knew an earthquake was coming towards us.
I remained seated at my desk, bracing myself for the shaking. However, when the earth began to shake, my coworker screamed, but I remained calm because I did not feel the quake.
Immediately, the Lord began to speak to my spirit. He said this:
This is what will happen when I return to shake the world. All will hear it, but not everyone will feel it. Therefore, remain calm because you will hear the shaking of the Lord; you will hear the sound, but you will not feel it.
On the day of the Lord, when He arises to shake the earth, the proud and haughty will be brought low. They will run and hide in the holes of the rock and into the caves of the earth. They will hide from the terror of the Lord and the glory of His majesty.
Isaiah 2:5-20
What does the Shaking Represents
- The departure of the Spirit of the Lord (Judges 16:20)
- The anger of the Lord (2 Samuel 22:8, 1 Kings 14:15, Job 9:5-6; Psalms 18:7; Isaiah 13:13)
- The holiness of the Lord (Isaiah 6:1-4)
Who Will Feel the Shaking of the Lord
- Those who are disobedient and those who do not walk in the promise of the Lord (Nehemiah 5:13).
- The unripe grape – meaning those who are not fruitful (Job 15:33)
God will shake out the wickedness that occurs at night when He commands the morning to appear and cause the dawn to rise in the east and make daylight spread to the ends of the earth (Job 38:12-13).
Who Won’t be Affected by the Shaking
God’s children will not be affected by this shaking because God is our refuge and strength and a present help in times of trouble.
“Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling.”
Psalms 46:1-2
As children of God, we will not fear!
When the voice of God thunders and the earth melts, the nations of the earth will be in chaos, and their kingdoms will crumble.
But the children of God who dwell in the secret place of God will not be moved because the city of God cannot be destroyed. The Lord’s armies dwell among us; the God of Israel is our fortress (Psalms 46:4-7).
The Shaking of the Lord (Poem)
When the shaking of the Lord begins, you will hear it!
You will hear the voice of God echoing above the sea.
You will hear the glory of God thundering over the mighty seas.
“The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic.
The voice of the Lord splits the mighty cedars; the Lord shatters the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes Lebanon’s mountains skip like a calf;
He makes Mount Hermon leap like a young wild ox.
The voice of the Lord strikes with bolts of lightning.
The voice of the Lord makes the barren wilderness quake; the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
The voice of the Lord twists mighty oaks and strips the forests bare.
And, in His Temple, everyone shouts, “Glory!””(Psalms 29:4-9)
When the shaking of the Lord begins, you will see the glorious works of the Lord!
You will see how He brings destruction to the world.
“The Lord will end all earthly wars. He will break their bows and snap their spears. He will burn their shields with fire” (Psalms 46:8-9)
When you hear and see the shaking of the Lord, be still!
Be still and know that God is at work!
Be still and know that He is God!
He will be exalted by every nation.
He will be honored throughout the world.
Be still!
Because “The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.” (Psalms 46:11 NLT)
The Lord rules over the floodwaters.
The Lord reigns as king forever.
The Lord gives His people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace. (Psalms 29:10-11 NLT)
I pray that you will seek shelter in God’s secret place. I pray that He will protect you under the shadow of His wings. I pray that you will find peace in the midst of the turmoil. In Jesus name, Amen!
