  1. Thank you my sister. This is a blessing to me. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Over and over again, God in whom we place our trust is described as our shield and fortress. The One who protects us from the enemy.

In Psalm 91:4, God’s faithfulness itself is described as a shield, and in Psalm 76:3 we read that God breaks the arrows of our enemies. Even over in Proverbs 30:5, we read that God is a shield to those who put their trust in him.

Am grateful that we are always protected by the shield of faith, none of Satan’s fiery darts can get through whether he sends them at night or at day, whether one at a time or hundreds at a time. Whenever and wherever temptation comes, the shield of faith can deflect them.💯👍

    1. Hi Fay. You are so right. When we are sorounded by God’s protection, none of Satan’s fiery darts can get in. We have to always remain under the wings and protective arms of God. He is our hiding place. He is our shield and defence. Hallelujah! Thank you for sharing and have a blessed fay.

  3. Excellent and powerful message. Another dart is confusion. I experienced this in a former parish. There were continual mix-ups regarding mass times, mistakes in the parish bulletins, careless communication and secrecy, with a certain group of people wanting to be ‘in the know,’ while avoiding sharing information with the whole church family. 🤗

    1. Hi Sally. All I can say is Wow! We are on the same page. I wanted to write about six darts, but could not remember the sixth one that I wanted to use. Confusion is the sixth deadly dart. The devil used it all the time to create chaos.

I always tell my children that anywhere there is confusion the devil is in the midst. Confusion is also a part of the antichrist spirit. They used it to spread their deceitful agenda. Thank you so much and have a blessed day.

      1. Oh, Beverley, that is profound, and I say ‘wow ‘too. I could feel in my spirit that there were darts in the chronically confused parish I attended. I sensed that the confusion was coming from the enemy because the confusion caused people to feel stressed and distressed, just the opposite of the peace that Jesus longs to give us. 🤗

      2. You are so right my dear. Confusion is a tactic of the enemy. He send the confusion in the midst of your church to create frustration and division. I am glad that you were able to recognize it and pray against it.

  8. I find that all of the darts aimed at the mind are for one purpose: to place within us unbelief. It is unbelief that brought down Israel and left only a remnant. It is unbelief that causes churches to follow another Jesus. The battle we fight is the battle for the mind. We are to take on the mind of Christ. A mind permeated wit Christ who is the word and so much more, is the guarantee of our inheritance in Him.

    1. You are so right. It is a battle of the mind that we can conquer by having the mind of Christ. The mind of Christ is obedience and humility. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed weekend.

Jealousy is a most wicked and fierce dart. This fiery dart isn’t aimed at the mind but is aimed at the heart. I recommend taking a hit or two because this builds immunity against future attacks and it also builds great resilience. It fortifies a soul to travel deeper into repentance and grow even nearer to the Lord. Remember that God is an all consuming fire. Be baptized in the fire of the Holy Spirit! Fire then becomes YOUR element. Fiery darts from the adversary and his wicked soldiers tickle and you’ll giggle.

    1. So true. The darts of the enemy target different places but I am thankful that God gave us a defense against each of those places. Thank you for sharing.

  13. Thanks for your post and also for the comments I read as well. I think that fiery darts can be the negative words we are speaking over ourselves or others. I think these are the most dangerous, because the evil one influences us to believe them and confess them and in that way, the negative words (curses) find their way to make our lives and others miserable. So the evil one is cunning in a sense that he makes us believe that these thoughts are our own thoughts/ words, when all along he has been planting them (through people or different sources )so that we can speak them out and than reap what we spoke. It is a vicious cycle only Christ can free us from, as we humble daily our hearts and minds at His altar of grace.

    1. I appologise for my late response. You are on target. I do believe the enemy used our negative words against us and even those negative words that people gossip about us. Thank you for sharing and may God bless you.

No brother, the fiery darts of the evil one are not unkind words spoken by another. May the Lord spare you the experience, anyone ever hit, knows the difference. Please read an account of being hit , myself, below. Mankind is not capable of such projectiles, they are truly fired from the heart of evil.
Remain in the Love and Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, my brother ,in the salvation, so precious , of His blood and water spilled for our sake.

      1. Don’t underestimate the enemy. He used everything to distract us from the Word of God. The fiery darts includes all the little sins that so easily beset us and cause discouragement in our lives.

Although the sins of pride and other such faults we must overcome, these are not the fiery darts spoken of in Ephesians. The fiery darts possess such a burning attact , they are aimed at the mind. If you have ever been hit by one, you will never forget it. Not to frighten you, but I would not have you unaware. Before I continue in the nature of the fiery dart, I will have you know that Satan does not attack his own. If and or when you experience the true unsettling burning of the fiery dart, remember, Satan does NOT attack the unsaved.
When I was first hit by a fiery dart, I just became Christian; I didn’t know what had happened.
The character of a fiery dart, in my case anyway, was this:
    Sudden
    Psychologically traumatic
    Profane
    Absolutely demonic
    Hateful
    Violating
I cannot fully describe the nature of it because it was indecent.
It actually had a character, just as Ephesians described it; Psychologically burning of the psychic mind
Not a temptation, in any sense. But a full on attack, the Psychologically burning sense that lingered.

It is as Paul described it. Only after experiencing it did the verse, “The shield of faith extinguishing all the fiery darts of the evil one.”, make perfect sense.

Before the Lord, this is the truth.

Again, take comfort in the truth that Satan cannot fight against Satan; only those saved by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ are targeted.
When my faith began to grow, the extinguishing power of faith, put the fiery character of the devils darts out. At various times, he still throws them, maybe when the devil thinks I am at my most vulnerable state. I leave you with this thought:
What is more disturbing to our enemy, not being able to hit us with his darts, or once hit, remain in the strength and faith of the Lord?

Beverly, you have not published my notes because it contradicts what you have identified as “firey darts”. I know what they are and Satan is my enemy. I know these truths and I am not sure why you do not. But as the Lord has said regarding the tares and the wheat, let them both grow together lest when uprooting the tares the wheat is disturbed.
Please continue in preaching the message of salvation, but do not preach or teach from speculation. If I do not know these things, how is it I know you do not. Again, for whatever reason Christ Jesus is preached, as long as He is preached is what is important.
That you do not know just what a firey dart is, may be a blessing; but you do not know, please do not teach what you do not know.
    I pray you never will.
    Your brother in truth
    Daniel

    1. You are judging me unnecessarily and you know what the Bible says about judging others. Your comment was not published because I was not on my blog for a while. Please do not put Satan in a box and decides how he operates. He will use it against you.

Satan is in the world, not in a box. I do not judge but discern. I am against those that would seek to stand as an authority on those things of which they have no knowledge whatsoever. It is like a child trying to spell the word “cat” with the wrong alphabet blocks. The “fiery darts” are other worldly, they are not personal deficits of character. That you do not know of these things is obvious, it takes away the message of that which you do know, that Jesus is the Word of God in the flesh who God sent to die for our sins. This I write for your instruction, before the Lord.

I would say my thoughts without censorship, but I am reminded of the parable of the wheat and the tares, realizing that there are some who take strength in your posts. I will not be the cause for uprooting. Speak on those things of which you truly know, and you will have more to say. In this instance Beverley, you are wrong. Simply accepted correction. Pride is something to guard against.
