The psalmist saw the prosperity of the wicked and it seems as if they were not plagued with trouble like other people.
He became envious and wondered if he was serving God in vain (Psalm73)
Some of us can relate to the psalmist whem we see the injustices and corruption on the land.
But, like the psalmist we can go to the sanctuary of God to know the great inheritance we gain when we serve the Lord.
The Lord will remind us of the past miracles and blessings that He gave us.
Let us reflect on some of the blessings over the past month of January on this blog.
The Lord laid on my heart to make 2019 be the the year of prayer. He wants us to make prayer our lifestyle.
You might be wondering why we need to pray so often.
If you take a look at what is happening in the world around us you will realize that we have many reasons to pray.
The worldwide natural disasters, the crime and violence in the communities, the falling away of the saints are enough reasons to affirm that the coming of Christ is near.
Therefore, we definitely need to watch and pray.
If you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as you Saviour, I invite you to pray the prayer of repentance and surrender your total life to God.
The Lord is always there willing and ready to welcome you in His loving arms.
The Lord arms are not shortened that He cannot help you.
Neither is the Lord too far away that He cannot deliver you.
The Bible states that the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and save those with a contrite spirit (Psalms 34:18).
So, cry out to Him today because today is the day of salvation.
You may be wondering if there are any benefits in serving the Lord.
Yes, there are many!
Let me list a few for you.
1. You will have an inner peace and contentment.
2. The Lord will fight your battle.
3. No weapon that formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17)
4. The fire of the Lord will consume your enemies.
5. The Lord has great plans for you.
6. Last but not least, every morning that you awake you receive the miracle of life.
It is a fact that the path of a Christian is very rocky, but you must trust the way because God is in control and you can rest in Him.
Therefore, my prayer for you today is that you will connect to God and His presence will be visible in your life.
I pray that the Lord will remove any fiery serpents of disobedience and stubborness that is poisoning our spirits.
I pray that you will always have a song of praise on your lips and you will speak words of life over your sotuation.
Receive the life of Christ in your heart today.
AMEN!
