Finding Eternal Satisfaction: The Bread That Lasts
Bread only satisfies the flesh. It is temporary and soon you will be hungry again.
However, there is a bread that you can purchase without money. When you eat it you will be completely filled and never hunger again.
And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. (John 6:35 NKJV)
If you have never tried this bread before, i am inviting you to “taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” (Psalms 34:8 NKJV)
This special bread symbolises the body of Jesus Christ, which was broken on the cross for our sins.

The bread also symbolizes the Word of God, which nourishes the soul and spirit and will last until eternity.
Jesus Christ also represents the Word of God.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:1-3, 14 NKJV)
Additionally, Jesus Christ is also the light that God calls forth to get rid of the darkness. He is therefore the spectrum of visible light that humanity exists in.
Without this light we would be utterly consumed by the darkness. Likewise, without the bread of life – Jesus Christ- we will be doomed.
So, consume this life giving bread and enjoy its permanent nourishment to your body, spirit and soul.
Are you embracing Jesus for this lasting sustenance?

**A thought-provoking reflection. It reminds us that physical sustenance alone is fleeting, and true fulfillment comes from nurturing the spirit as well.**

Indeed, strengthening the spirit is important to walk by faith and not by sight. Thanks for reading and commenting.
