A little boy was listening to a long and excessively boring liturgy of the passion of Christ in church on Good Friday. Suddenly the red sanctuary lamp caught his eye.

Tugging his father’s sleeve, he said, “Daddy, when the light turns green can we go?”

    😄 Love the humor mixed with reflection here, Beverley… Thanks for the laughs and the gentle reminder of what Good Friday truly represents. That Easter egg joke cracked me up (pun intended)… And the little boy with the red light? Classic kid moment, so pure and funny.

    We all need a little joy even on the most solemn days. After all, even Jesus had a sense of humor (I mean, calling James and John “Sons of Thunder”? Iconic 😅).

    Q: Why did the Easter egg hide?
    A: Because it was a little chicken 🐣🥚
