Can God Prepare A Table In The Wilderness?
When prosperity is flowing and everything is good it is easy to praise God.
But what if suddenly your life is turned upside down, will you praise the Lord?
During those turbulent times, you may ask, “Where is God?”
Can God prepare a table in the wilderness?
When we doubt God during distressful times we are tempting Him.
We must beware of the place called Massah and Meribah.
As long as we live in this world we will have problems but during troublesome times we must not forget the blessings of God during the good times.
Reflect on the past miracles of God and let them assure you that what He had done before He will do again.
God has done it before and He will certainly do it again.
The children of Israel complained against God when they were in difficulties.
“Yes, they spoke against God:
They said, “Can God prepare a table in the wilderness? Behold, He struck the rock, so that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed. Can He give bread also? Can He provide meat for His people?” (Psalms 78:19-29 NKJV)
The Lord heard their complaint and was angry with them “because they did not believe in God, and did not trust in His salvation.” (Psalms 78:22 NKJV)
Despite God’s anger, He opened the windows of heaven and rained down angel’s food (Bread of heaven) for His people on earth until they were satisfied.
Additionally, the Lord rained meat for the people “like the dust and feathered fowl like the sand of the seas.” (Psalms 78:26-28 NKJV).
God prepared abundant food in the wilderness for the Israelites but because they doubted God, the wrath of God came against them and they choked when the food was in their mouth and many of them died.
But God is merciful and “full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and did not destroy them.” (Psalms 78:38 NKJV).
However, the people consistently “tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel. They did not remember His power: The day when He redeemed them from the enemy.” (Psalms 78:41-42 NKJV)
We have proof that God can prepare a place in the wilderness.
Therefore, we will not doubt God’s ability. We will not tempt Him but we will trust in His unfailing power.

God can and he does prepare a table of provision in the wilderness. The key is remembering how God provided a job when I had none. How he introduced me to Holy Spirit who is my teacher, guide, and best friend. The time my car malfunctioned on a busy road at -25 F temperatures, and everything electronic quit. His Angel kept the car going at my command in Jesus name until I could get into the city and get help. I had no alternator yet the car functioned. I had supernatural favor and my mechanic immediately fixed the car, when there was more than a 3 week waiting list. He recently had 2 people pay for heating fuel when it was -50 F and the house did not freeze. When I wanted to give up, God encouraged me to not quit. He is my help and strength in every wilderness experience. He does it over and over! Glory to God! Jehovah Jireh my provider!

The Lord is faithful. I’m glad He makes a way for us. Many times I have worried only to find out He had already prepared a table for me.

That is so true. Then we realized that it was a waste of time worrying.
