Keep Climbing

A few Sundays ago we encourage you to keep walking and never give up.

Today, we want to encourage you to keep climbing.

The mountaintop was significant to God because He always descended upon the mountain when He wanted to speak with Moses.

“Then He called Moses to the top of the mountain and Moses went up to meet God.” (Exodus 19:20 NKJV)

Sometimes God is calling us to come up to a higher place in Him but many of us refuse to budge because we do not want to leave the place where we have become comfortable.

This may be a place of complacency or a place of stagnation.

Wherever that place is, we take comfort in it and refuse to heed the voice of the Lord.

Suppose Moses was not obedient to God’s call, what do you think would have happened?

A disobedient Moses would not have been able to lead the people through the wilderness because the presence of the Lord would not have accompanied him.

Furthermore, Moses would not have received the ten commandments of the Lord (Exodus 20).

The Lord sealed His relationship with His people on top of the mountain.

Thus, if we do not climb up to the mountain top where God is calling us we will not reach our full potential.

When we reach on top of the mountain we will experience true worship. The Lord’s desire is for us to worship Him in Spirit and in truth.

On top of the mountain, you will receive an abundance of grain and you will flourish.

You will be like a tree planted by the flowing river where your leaf will not wither and whatever you do will prosper (Psalms 1).

According to the prophetic Word of God in Isaiah 2, in the latter days, the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established above all other mountains.

Every people from all nations will go to the temple of the Lord to learn from Him and walk in His ways.

In those days the weapons of war will become tools for harvesting because there will be peace among all nations.

Hallelujah!

What a glorious day to look forward to.

So arise, don’t delay, and move up to a higher place in God.

Keep climbing!

      “Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully.” (Psalms 24:3-4)

      As long as our hearts are pure and we have a clean hands then we can ascend. Thank you for reminding me of the above verse.
