Visiting The Sick

1–2 minutes

The pastor’s wife was looking after their eight-year-old son who was sick in bed.

The child asked to see his father, who was in his study working on an important sermon.

β€œHe’s busy, honey, and can’t come right now,” his mother replied.

β€œBut I REALLY REALLY want to see him,” the boy persisted.

β€œSorry, but he’s tied up right now and can’t be disturbed.”

β€œWell then,” the boy said, β€œtell him I’m sick and want my pastor to visit me!”

  1. Seems like the children of the preacher get placed on the back burner, as does the Landlord’s wife…I know this to be trueπŸ˜‚

  3. Too often this is too true. I’m happy to say my husband has always been good keeping the balance of family and ministry.

    1. That is great, Donna. Your family should never be second place in ministry. Have a blessed πŸ™Œ day.

    1. So true. Sometimes our jobs take up most of our time and when we reach home we are too tired to spend time with the children. I remembered those days when my children were younger. It was hard but God. πŸ™‚

      1. That’s true. I remember when my daughter was about to graduate from high school, I realized the years had flown by and I rarely took time off to spend with her.
