The Outstanding Blogger Award

It has been quite a long time since I have responded to a blogger award.

Today, I want to thank Chris from Varsityexperience for nominating me for the outstanding blogger award.

Chris is devoted to spreading the good news of salvation to everyone because he wants them to transform from darkness into light by the grace of God.

Chris is also a published author and you can find some of his books here.

Please visit his blog and support his ministry.

The Outstanding Blogger Award

The Outstanding Blogger Award was originally created by Colton Beckwith.

The award recognizes bloggers whose works stand out. The award is given to a blogger by a fellow blogger.

Rules

(1). Provide a link to the creator’s original award post.

(2). Answer the questions provided.

(3). Create 7 unique questions.

(4). Nominate 10 bloggers. Ensure that they are aware of their nominations. Neither the award creator nor the

Questions from Chris

(1). Have you received Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior? If yes, share your salvation experience.

Ans: Yes when I was a child about ten/eleven years old. My father had recently passed away and I wanted God to be my Father and to part of His divine family.

After my father died, my mother told us that God will be a Father to the fatherless. I took that statement literally and thought that the only way this was possible was to get baptized in the church.

The senior Elder at my church guided me into accepting Christ as my Saviour.

Since then the Lord has been more than a Father to me guiding and protecting me even when I was unaware of His presence.

The Lord has now taken on the role in my life as a husband to the widow and Father to my children.

Thank you, Lord!

(2). Between prosperity and poverty, which one do you choose?

Ans: It is the Lord’s desire that we prosper and be in good health even as our souls prosper. Poverty resulted from sinful earth.

(3). Between paying for health and getting it for free, your choice?

Ans: In this world, we have to pay for everything. Who knows, we may one day have to pay for the air that we breathe.

The earth is the Lord and the fullness thereof. The world and everyone who dwells in it.

God offered everything to us freely, but unfortunately, man’s greed requires that we pay for everything.

(4). What are your blogging strategies? (Let’s learn from the way you blog).

Ans: I am not an expert blogger but I learned as I continue to blog.

You can learn from my mistakes by clicking on the following links:

Other Blogging Tips

(5). What are your understandings about tags and categories?

Ans: Categories as the name suggests place your post in different categories. You decide what category you want your post to be in.

For example, if your post is about health issues you can create a category call health.

Tags are phrases and words from your post that will allow readers to find your blog.

(6). What is your understanding of SEO optimization?

Ans: This one still boggles my mind. Maybe my readers can help to explain it in the comment box below.

(7). How do you deal with blogging notifications, statistics, and ghosting?

Ans: I am not sure what ghosting is. I reply to notifications whenever I am not busy with work. I do not worry about statistics.

      • Very rainy off and on. Big puffy white clouds right now with a chance of rain on the way. Typical winter weather for our area. Northern Oregon was hit pretty bad this past week. Snow mixed with icy roads. Treacherous conditions, plus power outages for days. Not as bad as Texas though….. I bet you are basking in the sun perhaps? God bless.❤ 😎

      • Sorry about the bad weather but I am happy to hear that it is not so bad now. Yes, I was really surprise about Texas. I am praying that it will become warmer soon.
I must give God thanks for living in the Caribbean. I do not think I could manage the winter. 🙂. Take care and have a blessed evening.

  2. Thank you again for nominating me Beverley. You mentioned how SEO (Search Engine Optimization) boggles your mind. It boggles my mind too. From my limited understanding, I believe it’s using keywords and phrases that would optimize your post to rank higher on google, yahoo, and other search engines organically. Also, longer posts (2,200-2,500 word count) have a greater probability of being ranked than articles that are shorter.

Search engines also look for blogs that have internal linking, where one post you write leads to another post that you link. This demonstrates to search engines that your website has a cohesive structure and therefore your ranking will go up. If you ever want to learn more about this, I believe Neil Patel is one of the smartest out there on this subject. In the end, write what you are passionate about and give all the glory and praise to God. Blessings!

  4. Thank you Beverley for nominating me. It still amazes me that I’ve managed to create my blog and that people find it and read it. It’s like wow!! What a blessing to be able to talk about God in our lives. I’m still learning so much and creating widgets seemed like such an achievement 😊. As I mentioned I’m not sure how I respond and comply with the requirements. I’m still not sure how you reference someone’s blog as you have so hopefully some kind person will explain it to me xx. Blessings to you and have a good day x. Nicola
