God wants the best for us and we can have the best right now in this life on earth.
This topic was inspired by my church revival service on Zoom entitled The best is yet to come.
I do believe that God has already provided the best things in life for us and is waiting on us to reach out to access them.
What are the best things that the Lord wants for us?
Most of us dream of having a great job, the best houses, best cars, best clothes, best finances and we look forward to the Lord providing them for us.
All those things are good and the Lord wants us to have the best of those things because He promised to provide His people with the best of the land of Egypt (Genesis 47:18-20).
But as you know by now, those material things can disappear with the puff of a mighty wind or the silent stalking of a pandemic disease.
Therefore, the most important things that God wants for us are the best things in His kingdom.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33).
Indeed, the Lord promised to give His priests and their children all the best of the oil and all the best of the wine and the grain and the firstfruits.
Additionally only the ripe fruits and devoted things will God give to them (Numbers 18:12-14).
The Lord Jesus Christ has washed and cleansed us and made us kings and priests unto God the Father (Revelation 1:5-6; 5:20).
Therefore, we all have equal opportunity to receive the best things in the Kingdom of God.
The Best in the Kingdom of God
For the kingdom of God is not meat or drink, but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. (Romans 14:17).
-
Righteousness
God wants us to live righteously in the Lord Jesus Christ by having the mind of Christ which is obedience and humility.
-
Peace
We need the peace of God which passes all understanding to keep our hearts and mind through Jesus Christ (Phillipians 4:7).
-
Joy
We need joy because the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
-
The Power of the Holy Spirit
We need the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives because the Holy Spirit will give us wisdom and revelation to discern the times that we are living in.
It is a fact that we are living in unprecedented times.
These are the days when the enemy is plotting “new and never before known” tricks and deception to try to bring fear in our hearts.
But the Holy Spirit will pour the love of God in our hearts to drive out the spirit of fear.
The Holy Spirit will comfort and keep us in the times of trials.
The Holy Spirit will keep us alert in prayer and fasting.
The Holy Spirit will keep us fully clad in our battle gear – ready at all times.

The Holy Spirit will be our guide as we continue on this journey of faith.
The Holy Spirit will keep us sheltered and protected under the wings of the Almighty in His secret place.
Brethren we have much to be thankful for because the Lord has already prepared the best things for us.
All we need to do is to open our hearts and receive these priceless treasures in the kingdom of God. Amen! Praise God!
