  1. Thanks, Beverley, for reminding us. We always need our full armour on, and we need to be alert. Attacks from the enemy can come in ways we do not expect. We should always expect the unexpected, and stay focused on Jesus. In him, we have the victory.

    1. Amen. Expect the unexpected. The Bible said we are to be sober and be vigilant. Those are two power words that as Christians we ought to be. Thank you for sharing.

  2. Amen! Such a powerful reminder that we can’t afford to walk around with an armor. We must be armored up at ALL times. I once heard someone say this, “casual Christians will become casualties.”

    1. That saying is so true. We have a lot of casualties in the Church and it is all because of casualness. Wow! Thank you Precious for that powerful insight. I hope you will do a post on it.

  4. Bev, I hope this helps and encourages your readers.

The LORD gives us the helmet of salvation to protect the thoughts that enter our mind and direct every action that we take through His Spirit giving us direction with every breath we take. If we are not willing to stand with Him in the spiritual battles of this world, how do we expect to win the war and share in His victory?

Chazak Chazak V’nitzchazek; Be Strong, Be Strong, Let Us Be Strengthened! As a reminder of where our strength truly comes from we say this in our congregation at the completion of each of the first five books of the Bible.

Chazak – Be strong. In thinking about strength, we encounter challenges, obstacles, and pressures. To be strong we need to have ourselves grounded in Jesus, the Chief Cornerstone of our faith.

Chazak—we are strong when we have people we can count on. Our families, our communities, our kehillot (congregations) are all sources of strength.

V’nitchazek – We must strengthen each other. It’s not only important to know the truth, we are also tasked with speaking the truth in love as we share it with others.

Remember we are not responsible for how others respond—we are only responsible to “press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us,” Philippians 3:14.

    1. Hi Candice. Your words always encourage me and my readers. You have given us added information that are further reinforcement. Our hearts and mind need to be protected from evil influences and our feet should only walk in the way of peace. Thank you for sharing these revelations to us. You are a blessing to us!
