Wait

Waiting may not be so tiresome after all.

Thursday morning devotion encouraged us to ask the Lord for whatever we need but we may have to wait to receive it.

If you missed it you can read it here.

Today, the above quotation from the inspirational Bible quote apps gives us an example of how we should wait. The quote was created by the website ellisapulliam.com

The quote said that while waiting we need to watch God work His way. In other words, we have to be sensitive to what He is doing because we cannot afford to miss the blessing if it is wrapped in an unexpected package.

Ensure that you ask the Lord for His purpose. You want to be sure that you are within His will.

Invite the Lord within your heart so that He can give you the desires of His heart. Remember the Lord’s desire for you will always be the best for you.

Finally, trust the Lord to fulfill His plans. Note that you can always depend on the faithfulness of God.

Follow these simple steps and you will find that waiting will not be a burden.

  1. Thanks much Bev for this gentle reminder. Waiting reminds me that I am not in charge I am the patient. I’m in the waiting room. In the real issues of life, I am not just waiting around – I am waiting on God, therefore, I can trust his wisdom and his timing. I’ve heard it said that the person who waits on God loses no time. I can wait with confidence. Because I am waiting for someone, and that someone is God – the faithful and reliable one.
