Waiting may not be so tiresome after all.
Thursday morning devotion encouraged us to ask the Lord for whatever we need but we may have to wait to receive it.
If you missed it you can read it here.
Today, the above quotation from the inspirational Bible quote apps gives us an example of how we should wait. The quote was created by the website ellisapulliam.com
The quote said that while waiting we need to watch God work His way. In other words, we have to be sensitive to what He is doing because we cannot afford to miss the blessing if it is wrapped in an unexpected package.
Ensure that you ask the Lord for His purpose. You want to be sure that you are within His will.
Invite the Lord within your heart so that He can give you the desires of His heart. Remember the Lord’s desire for you will always be the best for you.
Finally, trust the Lord to fulfill His plans. Note that you can always depend on the faithfulness of God.
Follow these simple steps and you will find that waiting will not be a burden.

Beverley has been serving the Lord since she was a child. At an early age, she recognized that God had a special plan for her life, but it was not until in her adulthood that she surrendered her total life to God and accepted the mandate that God placed on her life. The Lord called her into His Kingdom to be an encourager, intercessor, teacher, scribe, priest, and to proclaim the Word of God.
Since then, Beverly has established a blog to teach us to become the oil and wine. The oil and wine are purified and mature products, which is the advanced level that the Lord expected of us.
In 2017, Beverley published her first book, Harm Not The Oil And Wine. In it, she described her trials and how God helped her to overcome them, and to live more victoriously. The book also exposed the enemy of our souls with detailed information about his past defeats and future extinction.
Wright spents most of her time studying the Bible to know the truth of God’s Word. She believes that only God’s truth can expose the deception of the enemy, and uproot and tear down spiritual strongholds.
You can learn more about Beverley’s life and testimony on her website becomingtheoilandwine.com.
You can also find her on Facebook and Google+ under the name of her blog, and on Twitter as @Theoilandwine.

Very true. I was a person who wanted it NOW. But God has quelled that spirit and I am learning to wait on His time,:)

Yes. God sometimes wants us to wait to develop our patience. Have a great day.

Thanks much Bev for this gentle reminder. Waiting reminds me that I am not in charge I am the patient. I’m in the waiting room. In the real issues of life, I am not just waiting around – I am waiting on God, therefore, I can trust his wisdom and his timing. I’ve heard it said that the person who waits on God loses no time. I can wait with confidence. Because I am waiting for someone, and that someone is God – the faithful and reliable one.

Why do we equate waiting with doing nothing? Being still is so important to hearing God, to not get ahead of what he is doing. Thanks for this reminder.

Yes. When we tell someone to wait for us we often mean stop what you are doing and wait. But, with God, waiting means continuing with me and not without without me.
