Ask
Asking God for something does not guarantee that you will receive the exact thing that you want.
God wants the best for each of us. So if you are asking the Lord for something that is not the best for you, He will not grant your wish.
But, the Lord will lead you in the direction that will give you the best that He provides for you.
However, sometimes we are so consumed with the things that we want that we neglect to see the better provision that God has in store.
Most times the best requires a waiting period of preparation.
The preparation period will develop you mentally and spiritually to receive the abundant blessings that are in your future.
Wisdom is good with an inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see the sun.
For wisdom is a defense, and money is a defense: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it. (Ecclesiastes 7:11-12)
For example, the above verse implies that wisdom is good with inheritance because you will be able to manage your money without squandering.
Therefore,
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: (Matthew 7:7)
Never forget that in order to receive the best you will need to prepare by adhering to the following principles.
Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (Luke 6:36-38)
Asking and receiving is a complete package.
Amen…. this is so true… I couldn’t agree more. Been in this position before and I do no when you ask you receive but as you stated you may not receive what you want but he replaces it with something else… I just love reading your blog post… they give me life and you break it down… Thank You Beverley ❤️❤️❤️

Good post. The Lord’s prayer says ” thy will be done”, rather than ” My will be done”.
Let us ask for the grace to always be confident that our loving father knows what is best for us.
