Some interesting perspective on joy.

Joy is a pleasurable emotion that is permanent when you receive it from the Lord.

Joy is one of the fruits of the Spirits (Galatians 5:22)

The joy of the Lord will strengthen you (Nehemiah 8:10)

There is great joy in heaven when one sinner repents.

The angels and all the inhabitants of heaven shouted joyfully as God created the earth. The heavenly sons of God were God’s cheerleaders as He worked.

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it. Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Job 38:4-7)

You will have joy when you dwell in the presence of the Lord.

During times of mourning you can be comforted in the assurance that weeping will only last for a night but joy will come in the morning (Psalms 30:5).

Salvation is a joyful occasion (Isaiah 12:3).

Therefore the redeemed of theย Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and mourning shall flee away. (Isaiah 51:11)

Walk in the joy of the Lord and enjoy the richness of His grace.
