The joy of the Lord is a wonderful thing.
It makes your soul glad and your heart to sing;
That joy that’s within causes you to be strong,
So stay in Gods Word for to Him you belong!
My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: (Psalms 65:3)
Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. (Nehemiah 8:10)
And ye now, therefore, have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. (John 16:22)
And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s. (1 Corinthians 3:23)

My name is Susan, and Beverley from Becoming the Oil and the Wine, https://becomingtheoilandwine.com/author/efarim7praise/
had graciously invited me to write my Christian poetry on her blogsite back in 2017. It gave me great delight and pleasure that she published them on her wonderful blog; I was working part time so I couldn't devote too much time and focus on it. Eventually after the passing of time, I felt the Holy Spirit pressing in to me to retire fulltime, to be at home with my husband and be of help with him around our home, and to draw closer to and spend more time with our Heavenly Father. I determined with the time I spend in the morning alone with God that I'd include the poems I write to Him in my blogs. I thought I would mostly keep it of my poetry and sometimes vary it with other thoughts that cross my mind pertaining to the times we're living in. I do enjoy visiting various other blogsites to learn from and to comment here and there by uplifting and edifying comments, and hopefully connect with love and prayers for one another. I take Colossians 4:6 to heart which states "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man." I also believe Proverbs 27:17 which states "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend."
We, as the body of Jesus Christ, need to stay close at heart in these uncertain times with love, faith and trust in Jesus Christ our Saviour, that He will see us through. ♡
