Celebrating Virtuousness

1–2 minutes

This weekend we will be celebrating the mothers.

In keeping with this theme, I want to encourage all the mothers to endeavour to have the spirit of nobilty or virtuousness.

Proverbs 31 described a virtuous woman. This woman’s primary focus was towards her family. She embraced family unity and hard work.

Even though she recognized her husband as the main provider and head of her family, she still did her part to provide food and clothing for her family.

The virtuous woman is punctual and industrious. You will not find her gossiping with friends on the phone.

All of her time is taken up doing productive things for her household.

Additionally, the virtuous woman is generous and gives willingly to the poor and the less fortunate.

She speaks with wisdom and her tongue is the law of kindness. In other words, no corrupt communication comes from her mouth.

She speaks only the things that are good for necessary edification so that her words impart grace to the hearers (Ephesians 4:29)

When the question is asked, who can find a virtuous woman?

If the qualifications fit you, then you can answer, “Here am I”

Virtuousness is priceless!

And now, my daughter, do not fear. I will do for you all that you request, for all the people of my town know that you are a virtuous (noble) woman. (Ruth 3:11)
