Poor in spirit is not referring to physical poverty.
It means acquiring a state of mind where you become helplessly dependent upon the Lord.
It is similar to delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Where the word delight means taking pleasure in the things of the Lord.
Too often we try to work out the solution to our problems in our mind instead of taking the problems to God and leave them at His feet.
Totality is what God requires of us. Total surrender, total dependency, and our total life.

Beverley has been serving the Lord since she was a child. At an early age, she recognized that God had a special plan for her life, but it was not until in her adulthood that she surrendered her total life to God and accepted the mandate that God placed on her life. The Lord called her into His Kingdom to be an encourager, intercessor, teacher, scribe, priest, and to proclaim the Word of God.
Since then, Beverly has established a blog to teach us to become the oil and wine. The oil and wine are purified and mature products, which is the advanced level that the Lord expected of us.
In 2017, Beverley published her first book, Harm Not The Oil And Wine. In it, she described her trials and how God helped her to overcome them, and to live more victoriously. The book also exposed the enemy of our souls with detailed information about his past defeats and future extinction.
Wright spents most of her time studying the Bible to know the truth of God’s Word. She believes that only God’s truth can expose the deception of the enemy, and uproot and tear down spiritual strongholds.

“helplessly dependent upon the Lord.” Amen Beverley, this is the best way I have ever heard it put. I use to be bad about jumping in and trying to help the Good LORD with the problems. Like He needs my help, He created everything. Another thing He is helping me with is leaving it at His feet. I, on occasion leave it at His feet only to grab it back later. Praise God for His loving patience. LORD, thank You for continuing to bless Sister Beverley 🙂

It is our nature especially us, women, to try to fix things. So it is sacrifice when we can just leave the burden at his feet. God honors sacrifice. Thank you

May God continue to give you the strength to leave it at His feet and the patience to let them remain there. Blessings and cheers.☺
