Building Your Body as a Holy Temple unto God

Life continues in the month of April and beyond. An abundant life is guaranteed for you, but you have to choose it. In this world, you have to make a choice between life and death. It is the Lord’s desire that you choose life.girl-1250679_640

However, life is not about the amount of money or material goods that you possess. It is not about your popularity, how famous or talented you are. Life is about love, peace, joy, health, wisdom, fulfillment, satisfaction and contentment.

You can only achieve these blessings when you surrender your life to God and allow Him to lead and direct you. The Lord will not deny you of any good things when you trust in Him. He wants the best for us, but we have to trust Him to give it to us because His ways of doing things are totally different from ours.

We can only see the present and remember the past, but we cannot see the future. Hence, many people have a small and narrow mind and limit themselves to the short term. You miss out on being the best when you lack vision and only see things in a very skewed manner.

Since God knows our future, why not allow Him to lead us to it? He will not force us, so we do need to trust Him completely. I know you will not regret it.

For the month of April, the Daily Thanksgiving Devotion will focus on building your body to be a holy temple unto God. Formerly, the Lord’s temple was built of stone and timber, but after Christ redeemed us from our sins, our body becomes God’s holy tabernacle.

Follow the path that God leads.

Follow the path that God leads.

It is also important for you to understand the physical tabernacle that was God’s dwelling place. The Lord gave Moses specific instructions on how to build His sanctuary, and it was patterned after His holy temple in heaven (Revelation15:2).

For if He (Jesus) were on earth, He would not be a priest since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law; who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, in as much as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. (Hebrews 8:4-6)

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, we have obtained a better ministry, created on a better promise. But for you to appreciate this new covenant that we have you need to know the history of the old covenant.

The Lord told Moses to ask the people for an offering to build His sanctuary. In this case, the offering was gold, silver, bronze, fine linens and threads, goats hair, ram and badger skin, acacia wood, oil for lamps, spices for anointing and sweet incense, onyx stones and other gems for the breastplate of the priest’s garment (Exodus 25).

The building of the tabernacle was very specific and tedious, and it had to be done exactly as how God commanded it and must be constructed flawlessly.

Fortunately, for us, the Lord Jesus Christ already met and fulfilled the requirements for us. We only need to accept Him as our High Priest.

The full revelation of the tabernacle and how relevant it is to us will be posted every day at six o’clock in the Thanksgiving devotion. You can’t afford to miss it!
