The prophet Isaiah prophesied that there would be a voice of one crying in the wilderness to prepare the way of the Lord and to make His path straight.

The prophecy was fulfilled when John the Baptiste preached in the wilderness of Judea declaring,

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven, is at hand.”

John lived in the desert, and his food was locust and wild honey. His clothing was made of camel’s hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. Clearly John’s life was hard, yet he was obedient to God and proclaimed the message of repentance.

We are all aware that the planet Earth is round, so everything that happens in this world occurs in cycles. For example times and seasons changed in sequences, and believe it or not so is our lives. Hence, the saying which states that history repeats itself.

The Lord proclaimed the year 2016 to be the year of John the Baptiste which means that we need to prepare the way for the second coming of Jesus Christ and to make His path straight.

The time is now crucial because we have to harvest the millennial generation into the Kingdom of God.

We are fortunate to be living in a high technological world, so we do not need to go into the desert to preach God’s words. We do not even have to go into the byways and hedges or the street side.

We can stay in the comforts of our home and proclaim the message of salvation to billions of people all over the world through the internet and social media.

Due to the competition for cyberspace, it may take some time to build up an audience who will read your messages from God.

Most of the things that become viral on the internet are the bad, ugly, silly and derogative. 

Very few people will share encouraging words from the Lord that will give life. Most people prefer to share the evangelist stars who already have millions of followers.

In spite of the meager support that you may receive it is imperative that you do not give up.

The Bible stated that the pathway to life is narrow and difficult and very few people follow it while the path to destruction is broad with billions of followers.

Do not be disheartened because the Lord is going to do a massive shaking in the cyber world and many people who are hungry for the word of God will find your blogs, Facebook page or websites that are ministering the word of the Lord.

There must be some difficulties involve in giving birth to your ministry. John’s hardship was the wilderness.

In our modern world, it is the giants of the cyberspace.

Nevertheless, your ministry must one day reveals to the world the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.

Believe and trust in the Lord for greater is He who is in you than who is in the world.
