2015 – The Year of Jubilee!
About two years ago while I was going through some difficult times, the Lord promised me that I will have a jubilee celebration on my fiftieth birthday. I became excited and immediately my imagination went into overdrive as I tried to visualize the type of party that I was going to receive on my fiftieth birthday.
However, my excitement began to diminish when my birthday approached, and I did not see anything unusual or spectacular happening in my life. Sure enough on the day of my birthday everything remained the same, and it was just another day with its usual mundane activities.
I was disappointed, and so I went into my secret place to get answers from the Lord. He reassured me that my Jubilee celebration would not only be for a day but a whole year. He told me that it was not a year of festivities but a year of releasing. The Lord also reaffirmed His promise once more and confirmed that my Jubilee will come to pass. I wrote a previous post about this which you can read here.
My fiftieth birthday was in September 2014, so this was the onset of my year of Jubilee. I began to look forward to receiving all the beautiful things that God had promised me. One of the many things that God promised is the fulfillment of the destiny He had planned for me – the establishment of a career in writing.
He told me to write a blog but when I created this blog, I realized that there were many giants in the field, and I was a simple shepherd girl struggling to keep my head afloat with hardly any viewers. As the months past and my blog stats remained the same, an average of about five viewers per day, I began to question my capabilities. Maybe my writing style was poor or possible the contents of my blog did not interest anyone.
I became disheartened, and I prayed daily, and sometimes I considered giving up, but the Lord kept pushing me to press on. He said that I should not look at the physical but focus on the spiritual. He reminded me of the story of David and Goliath. David was a mere shepherd boy who stood up to fight the great giant Goliath.
In the natural this scenario appeared ridiculous and futile. It was possible for Goliath to crush David with a single squeeze of his hand. David, of course, knew this but instead of backing down with fear he deliberately blocked his mind from seeing the natural and opened his heart to see the spiritual and the following was what he said to Goliath,
Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.(1 Samuel 17:45-46)
Note carefully the first sentence of David. He said that Goliath came to him with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but he came to him Goliath (the Giant) in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel.
Note also that earlier David had selected some stones at the brook for his slingshot, so he had a weapon, but he knew that his weapon was no match for Goliath. David knew that his weapon must be spiritual, not physical to fight the giant, so he brought with him the Lord God Jehovah to fight his battle.
When I began to write this post, the Lord steered me into the story of David and Goliath. I know without a doubt that God is telling me that I cannot conquer the giants in the land by physical means. I will defeat the giants in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of my life who instructed me to start this blog.
I believe that God, who began this work, will complete it or continue it until the day of Jesus Christ. It is God who works within me to do His will for his good pleasure. I believe with all my heart that I am victorious, so this blog will grow abundantly in my year of Jubilee.
The Lord once more reinforced His promise to me on the last day of 2014 at ‘watch night’ service. The topic of the service was:
2015 – the year of Jubilee.
The pastor at my church said in his sermon, “This is your year of Jubilee, and you can claim it because God said it will happen.”
I claimed it!
Tell me do I need any other confirmation?
Join with me to celebrate 2015 as our year of Jubilee.

Dear Beverly,
Like you, I feel that I have a mission, I am writing children’s books. They are very inspirational. I pray to Jesus every time I write another book and he directs what I should write. They will be laminated coloring books and they will have Jesus’s symbols, the dove and the star. I have been directed to get them out soon. I am scrambling to obey the call. Jesus is gathering his people right now. He is coming soon watch for the signs. Thank- you for sharing with your blog.

Hello
I am glad that my blog has been an inspiration to you. You are perfectly right the Lord is coming soon and He is preparing his bride. It is up to us to obey him.
I am happy that you are doing your part to teach the children about the Lord. God is raising up teachers to teach the millennial generation so that they can be prepared for his coming.
I want to encourage you to start a blog if you have not done o as yet. This will help to promote your books when they are published.
May God bless you and I wish you success in your endeavour. When your book is published please share them with my readers.

I just wanted to share a word of encouragement with the OP and other readers. The Lord spoke to me in my spirit sometime last November also promising that the upcoming year would be absolutely incredible. It just so happens that the next Hebrew calendar year (5776) is a Jubilee year and will begin September 13, 2015. Circumstances will begin to shift and tides will turn in our favor around that time. The year of Jubilee is so incredible God can only afford to do it once every generation. So be sure to maintain an expectant heart and you will most assuredly receive everything he’s promised to you. We’re in the final stretch.

Thank you Beverley for writing your blog and sharing. I know my blogs are not read by many even though I also post it on face book. However, there is so much Good News I want to share, and I pray every day that something that I say in a blog may change someone’s life. I would like to wish you a late happy 50th birthday and then wish you a very happy 51st birthday in this Jubilee Year. I believe that women in their 50’s are at the prime of their lives and can make a big difference in others lives. Thank you for blogging.

Thank you very much Mrs American Patriot for reading and visiting my blog. I will certainly check out your blog. It is so true that many people prefer the to read and share things that are ugly, bad and foolish on the social media instead of the good and encouraging word of God. Many times I feel discourage when I see my meager stats but the Lord always send someone like you to encourage me so that I can press on. May God continue to bless and keep you.
