Building A Relationship With God

The Bible has a unique way of using strong action words to encourage us to develop a close relationship with God.

It is obvious that God wants us to be close to Him.

We were once strangers and aliens from the covenants of promise and the life of God, but through Christ, we can have intimate communion with God (Ephesians 2:12; 4:18).

The Word of the Lord says:

Draw near to God – Closeness to the point of worship.

Seek first the kingdom of God – Search or pursue after God (Matthew 6:33).

Delight yourself in the Lord – Take pleasure in the things of God (Psalms 34:4).

Dwell in the secret place – live or stay permanently in His presence (Psalms 91).

Abide in me – Remain in Christ (John 15:4)

Love the Lord – Love (tender and passionate affection) the Lord with all your heart and soul (Matthew 22:37).
