Grandma was showing the grandchildren an illustration of a Pilgrim Family on a Thanksgiving Day card that she had received. “The Pilgrim children enjoyed going to church with their mothers and fathers and praying to God,” she said.

One of the grandsons looked at her doubtfully and asked, “Then why is their father carrying that gun?”
