The Narrow Path Of Humility

Sometimes it takes a disaster to disrupt our path and possibly change our destiny.

If you are heading in the wrong direction down the broad path of pride then it is time to pause and switch lanes.

You need to find the narrow path called humility.

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way that leads to life, and there are few who find it. (Matthew 7:13-14).

Walking on the path of humility

As you walk along the path of humility you will find some obstacles blocking your way.

But, you do not have to give up or turn back because you can shatter the obstacles with a simple word from your lips.

The biggest mountain that blocks the path of humility is PRIDE.

Pride is clothed in many disguises that you might not even recognize as pride. The most prominent disguise is false humility.

False humility simply means pretending to have a humble spirit without the love of God residing in your heart.

The Lord says, ” I will break the pride of your power; I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze.” (Leviticus 26:19″

There is no place in the heavens or on the earth for pride to reside so it takes up residence in the heart of man.

A prideful heart can be changed when the love of God is poured into your heart by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5)

Along the pathway of humility are abundant blessings. The greatest blessings that you will receive are exaltation and protection from God.

Three important things that the Lord requires from us are “to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8)

Heavenly Father, remove the stony hearts and replace them with humility and brokenness.

Lord help us to always seek justice for the oppressed, to be merciful and compassionate to others, and to walk humbly before you.

In Jesus Name, Amen!

We give you thanks O Lord for you are truly a great God.

  1. Great post! Humility is not celebrated today. And when we are humble, we can sometimes feel overlooked by others. But Jesus was humble. Being humble can accomplish a lot of good and draws us closer to the Lord. Have a blessed week!

    • Indeed, you are sometimes taken advantage of when we are humble. But it is more blessed to be humble because in due time, God will exalt us openly. Thanks for sharing, and have a blessed week also.
