Simply Faith

Some people believe that your faith has to be big and powerful to receive healing and deliverance.

But is this really true?

Faith in action

Your faith does not have to be as high as a mountain to be acceptable to God.

Your faith does not have to be as powerful as the thunder for your desires to be manifested in your life.

Your faith does not have to be like the boisterous wind, the violent earthquake, the raging fire, or the crashing thunder because your faith can be seen in the still small voice (1 Kings 19:1-12).

Your faith can be as tiny and as simple as a grain of mustard seed and it can remove mountains (Matthew 17:20).

Your little faith only needs proof.

Demonstrating your faith proves to God that you believe in His ability to make the impossible come to pass.

How do you demonstrate your faith?

  • By speaking the Word?

The world was created from nothing by the spoken Word of God.

So speak the Word of God over your situation and watch supernatural miracles occurring in your life.

  • By your excellent sacrifice

Able offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain and was considered righteous.

The sacrifice that God requires from you and me is a broken spirit and a contrite heart (Psalms 51:17).

He wants us to present our bodies as a willing sacrifice to Him Holy and acceptably, which is our reasonable service (Romans 12:1).

  • You show your faith By walking with God

And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. (Genesis 5:24)

Walk in love, delighting in the sweet-smelling aroma of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. (Ephesians 5:1)

Walk before the Lord Almighty and be blameless (Genesis 17:1).

Walk uprightly and break the bands of your yolk (Leviticus 26:13).

Walk in all the ways of the Lord and hold fast to Him (Deuteronomy 11:22).

  • By moving with Godly fear

Noah immediately moved into action when he was divinely warned about the impending deluge.

  • Your faith can be demonstrated through your obedience

Abraham believed in the promises of God and it was counted to him for righteousness.

He obediently left his familiar home to travel to an unknown land where he searched for a city whose builder and maker is God.

Abraham demonstrated his faith by his willingness to obey God and sacrifice his only son believing that God would raise him from the dead.

His obedience was a type and shadow of the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ.

You can demonstrate your faith by judging God as faithful to His promises similar to Sarah and she received the strength to conceive a son in her old age.

  • By forsaking Egypt – the sinful pleasures of the world.

Moses forsook the luxuries of Egypt and chose to suffer affliction with the people of God.

  • Your faith is demonstrated when you keep the Passover of the Lord.

Partaking in the Holy communion will keep you covered and protected under the blood of Jesus Christ.

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he comes. (1 Corinthians 11:26)

Results of Your faith in action

When you demonstrate your simple faith, similar to the patriarchs of old, you will subdue kingdoms, you will work righteousness, you will obtain promises.

You will shut the mouths of lions.

You will quench the violent fire.

You will escape the edge of the sword.

You will be made strong in your weakness.

You will become valiant in battle.

You will chase away the armies of the enemies and ten thousand will fall at your side but they will not come near your dwelling (Psalms 91).

And, above all, women received their dead raised to life again. (Hebrews 11)

So, walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)

Have a blessed New Year!

  1. I love this Beverley. We show our faith by our actions. Being obedient. Faith doesn’t have to be very big, but can be the size of a mustard seed to move a huge mountain. Thanks for sharing this. 🙂💜

  2. “So walk by faith.” Little faith is mighty when it endures the trials, the doubts, and fears and still comes out trusting God is working for us, in us, and through us. That He is who He says and does what He says.
