Fear is the most powerful weapon that Satan used against the people of God.

Fear has the power to paralyze, torment and destroy.

Fear is capable of stealing your joy and your peace.

Most people will admit to having some form of fear or phobia.

In fact, the World Health organization states that approximately 359 million people in 2021 suffers from anxiety disorder.

It is ranked as the most common mental disorder affecting people globally.

Anxiety disorder can cause depression and may lead to suicide.

Some of the symptoms of anxiety are irritability, unable to make decisions, nausea or abdominal discomfort, heart palpitations, sweating, trembling, insomnia and panic attacks or having a sense of impeding danger.

Persons with severe anxiety disorder will need medical intervention and medication.

However, the best cure for fear is to confront it.

You can face your fear when you know that it has no power over you.

Destroying the Stronghold of Fear

You do not need to fear…

The mockers, the accusers and the destructive critiques.

The light of the Lord Jesus Christ within you will silence their voice.

The faces of disdain, the faces of scorn or the faces of ridicule.

The Lord God will be with you to deliver you (Jeremiah 1:8).

The mouth that is filled with cursing and bitterness.

But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. (Matthew 5:22A NKJV)

Deceivers and false witness who speaks lies and sow seeds of discord among the brethren.

The Lord will rise to cut off all flattering lips and the tongue that speaks proud things (Psalms 12:3).

Do not fear the hands that shed innocent blood.

They will be snared by the works of their hands (Psalms 9:16).

Do not be afraid of the feet that are swift in running to evil and to shed blood.

They will fall into their own nets by their wickedness, and their calamity will come suddenly (Psalms 141:10).

Fear not the heart that devise wicked plots against you when they go to bed at nights.

Thus says the Lord:

“For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now I will arise,” says the Lord; “I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.” (Psalms 12:5)

May the Lord help us to remember these promises from God and apply them when we are attack by fear.

Remember, God has not given you the spirit of fear, but He has given you the spirit of love, power and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
