Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate (Psalm 34:21)

When I woke up this morning the above verse came to my thoughts and I began to ponder on it carefully. The sentence “Evil will slay the wicked” appears to mean that the wicked will be slain by the evil they committed.

Other translations of the Bible state that calamity or trouble will destroy the wicked. I would like to believe that the calamity was stirred up by the wicked themselves.

This reminds me of Haman who plotted to kill and annihilate the entire Jewish population including young and old, little children and women, in one day. (Esther 3-5).

God, who knew of the impending plot of the enemy, had established Esther, a young Jewish woman as Queen of the territory for such a time as this. She was informed about the plot and after much prayer and fasting went to the king to plea on behalf of the Jews.

Thus, the king gave the Jews permission to defend themselves against their enemy and so was saved from mass slaughter.

The story also tells us that Haman had built a huge gallows to hang Mordecai, the uncle of the queen.

However, when the evil plot of Haman was discovered, the king hung him on the same gallows that he had erected for the righteous. Haman was destroyed because he hated the righteous.

But why was this verse on my heart that morning? The answer is COVID!

It seems as if this disease intends to live with us and so it keeps replicating and changing just to remain on this earth.

Our island of the BVI suddenly has a surge in COVID cases and as usual, many persons are panicking.

The increase in COVID cases occurred rapidly within 24 hrs.

It is unbelievable!

Two things immediately came to my mind – conspiracy and deception.

These are the weapons that Satan is using to gain entry into our physical realm.

He was once able to gain entry into the Garden of Eden using those two weapons. This resulted in the catastrophic fall of man from his exalted position into sinful degradation.

Then Satan gained entry a second time into our world through the conspiracy of fallen angels who defiled the human DNA resulting in a deluge.

Christ’s miraculous legal birth on earth, His foundational teachings to establish the kingdom of God on earth and His triumphant victory over death and hell at the cross of Calvary put a halt to Satan’s power to enter into our physical domain.

However, Satan does not give up easily because he is still trying to cross over the bridge from the darkness to become reincarnated human. How is he conspiring to do this?

Through a microscopic parasite called a virus. Yes, my friends, we need to pray.

Heavenly Father, we thank you that you are the only all-powerful and mighty God. We thank you that your Son Jesus Christ conquered death and hell and is in possession of the keys. We thank you that when He shuts the door the gates of hell cannot prevail against us. We thank you that your name is Jehovah – a God of protection and provision; a God of wrath and mercy; a God of might and power.

Your name is above all names that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:10-11)

Therefore, I declare by the power of the Holy Spirit that every form of coronavirus must bow, cancer must bow, sickness and diseases must bow. Every conspiracy and plot of the enemies must bow to your name and their evil deeds exposed.

I declare in the mighty name of Jesus that deception must bow and surrender to the truth of God’s word.

I declare in the all-powerful and wonderful name of Jesus Christ that no weapon that the enemy plotted and formed against us will prosper and every tongue that rises against us we condemn in the mighty name of Jesus because this is our inheritance.

Hallelujah.

I declare that the evil that the wicked plot will slay them.
