Graduation Celebration!
Two weeks ago, I traveled again!
Traveling during this new COVID era requires a lot of paper work.

First, you have to know the COVID protocols of the country that you are visiting even if you are only going there “in transit” to connect on a flight to your destination, then you have to fill out health forms and upload a negative COVID test.
After which, you have to wait for the relevant authorities to send you the approval that you are welcome to enter their country.
To return home you have to repeat the process by following the protocols of your home country.
The result is a handful of papers that you have to present at immigration for each country that you visit.
The presentation of these papers to move freely reminds me of the oppressive apartheid system in South Africa from 1948 to the 1990’s that segregated the black South Africans in their own country.
One of the many discriminating laws required them to carry their identification at all times to move around and they were restricted to go to certain places (History.com)
I can see this world moving to a system where it is going to be extremely difficult to travel freely from one country to the next.
We need to pray earnestly against this.
Even though the entire process of acquiring the many papers and enduring the uncomfortable COVID tests was extremely stressful, they were well worth the effort.
Because:
It was my daughter’s graduation! π©βππππβ€
Yes, my son and I went to New York to attend my daughter’s graduation.
Although the graduation was virtual she wanted her family to be with her during this joyous occasion and of course we were excited to share it with her.

My daughter spent four years at the Fashion Institute of Technology and she graduated Magna Cum Laude. BFA in Fashion Design with a concentration in Sportswear and minor in Mathematics and Art History.
The journey was with lots of prayers and tears but she finally succeeded in fulfilling her dreams of becoming a Fashion Designer. Read about my daughter’s journey on Her blog: The Black Lemon.

Thank you Lord!
All the glory and praise be to God for strengthening and keeping her throughout the entire time.
We spent one week with her in NY.
The time was short but well spent.
I pray that the Lord will continue to strengthen and guide her as she begins her career.
I pray that He will grant her favor and success in obtaining a suitable job.
I pray that the Lord will will inspire her to create designs that will glorify Him.
Thank you, Lord, for answering our prayers. In Jesus name.
AMEN!

PRAISE THE LORD!

Congratulations to your daughter Beverley. I can’t believe it’s been 4 yrs already. She looks so happy and beautiful! I’m glad you two were able to visit her here and enjoy your time with her. It is sad for all the bureaucratic red tape one has to go through anymore to fly. β€

Thank you, my dear Susan. We had a great time. Yes, you said it right – it was a lot of bureaucratic red tape. It is not just having a visa anymore. It is much more complicated. But I am glad we were able to be with her and I am glad to be home. Whenever you leave home the possibility exists that you might not return home for a while if you are positive for COVID.

Well, praise God you made it home safely, and the test results for both of you came back negative (no false +).
God takes care of His own, and I know you the three of you can testify to that. πβ€
