  1. We can not let our past define us. We can not let others negativity towards us define us.

I appreciate the beauty and depth of your poem Ruth. It brought to mind a movie based on a true story called Amistad. You may be familiar with it.
‘La Amistad’ was a slave ship that transported captured Africans from Spanish Cuba to the United States in 1839. Worth watching if you haven’t seen it.

Thank you for sharing. God bless. ❤

  4. Very moving, Ruth. One can easily tell your heart recognizes that we all have one Father, and are thus family. Sad so many have abused their siblings.

Beverley, I came across a scripture today in one of my devotionals that goes with what you stated…and it is:

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18-19.

I hope you are able to have a restful weekend and week full of Gods surprises created just for you. 💕Russ and I have been praying for you. 🙏
        Much love, Susan
