  1. Awesome revelation. Proverbs 4:23. Take off the pride masks. My pastor ministered this to us a few weeks back! Spot on and mask off!

    1. Amen. Praise the Lord! He wants us to search our hearts and come before Him in sincerety. We do not have to hide our identity from Him. Thank you for sharing.

  2. So good and powerful!!
    Love these words:

The world has thus become a huge stage and all of us are performers.

What a mess we’re in but so much opportunity to learn if we’re willing!!

  3. Odd you should mention the definition of a mask. I here a lot of people complaining that they feel as if they’ve lost who they are because of the mask.

    1. It is so true. In some cultures where the women covered their faces, it is done specifically to keep women in subjection and for them to lose their identity. Hence their identity is tied to their husband. Thanks for reading and sharing.

      1. That was certainly true in Saudi Arabia. You’d always see the women dressed from head to two in black, moving through the towns like some kind of weird Halloween ghost. In thart heat, I felt sorry for them.

Hadn’t thought of it that way, but it sure makes a lot of sense.

      2. I feel the same way also. But it is their culture and I guess they are use to it.

      3. A number of them treat women like, well, worse than dogs. While we were deployed, I got sick and ended up in a MASH in Saudi Arabia. One of the female medics told me a story of a Saudi doctor who like grabbing part of their anatomy he shouldn’t. When they objected, he didn’t stop. the compalined to their Chain of Command who spoke with him and to his people. It still didn’t stop. Finally, their Captain and First Sgt told them, “Ladies, the US taxpayer has spent a lot of money teaching you to take care of yourself. we think they;re due a refund.” Concerned he’d say soemthing, their Cof C told them, “one we’ll back you up, adn two, he won’t complain that a bunch of women beat the tar out of him.”

So till doomsday, the official story is he fell off a ladder while changing a light bulb.

        He never did it again.

  5. Pride is an enemy to us. We do need to be honest with God, ourselves, and one another. Doing so will help bring healing. Thanks Beverley.

  7. I am with you 100% with this. We should be proclaiming the Word Of God from our mouths, not covering our mouths up. Brilliant post though. I have been refused, by my local church entry due to me not having a mask. I found one that would accept me the following week, which worked out nicely for me as it’s a decent little congregation. So I definitely hear you with this post. God Bless x
