Satan’s Sister

I bet you did not know that Satan had a sister?

Well, Let’s find out!

One Sunday morning, Satan appeared before a small-town congregation.

Everyone started screaming and running for the front church door, trampling each other in a frantic effort to get away.

Soon, everyone was gone, except for an elderly gentleman who sat calmly.

Satan walked up to the man and said, “Don’t you know who I am?”

The man replied, “Yep, sure do.”

Satan asked, “Aren’t you going to run?”

“Nope, sure ain’t,” said the man.

Perturbed, Satan asked, “Why aren’t you afraid of me?”

The man calmly replied, “Been married to your sister for over 48 years.”

  8. Very funny Beverley! Goes both ways I take it though; how some ladies claim they’re married to a devil, not fun either way!

    1. It definitely goes both ways. But it is funny hearing it from this elderly gentle man. He seemed to be a very patient and forgiving person. Not many men would stay married to Satan’s sister for so long. Thanks for reading. 😀

      1. Hi Beverly! Hope you’re very well and things are good out your way. I totally agree and this is a good topic you brought up for sure of course injecting a bit of humor into most difficult situations can be curative or at least lessen tension; I even need to practice what I preach a bit more, seem to have lost my fun side that as I got older and kicked in the teeth a few too many times did seem to dampen my positive, optimistic side a bit! But like the old saying, “you can’t keep a good guy down,” definitely applies to that older gentleman and maybe me too, lol…
As a few old timers in my life told me growing up, life is no picnic. Mom said it best, “life wasn’t meant to just be a bowl of cherries, because you have to watch out for the pits!” Some men and women out there are very patient and forgiving; humble perhaps to the max, but I’ve unfortunately found far too many lack that saintly quality these days! Again, thank you for bringing up a very meaningful and important topic to meditate and pray about, it would be nice if that gentleman’s strong virtue would rub off on others more!
Oh BTW, I was out back feeding the wildlife and trying to help an injured dove that I’ve been caring for and for some reason you and another lady both crossed my mind as I thought, hey I wonder what’s happening I hadn’t heard from either of you here, then I got back inside and decided to check my WP account before breakfast and look who showed up with this comment!!! God is always working in mysterious ways, who else could be reading my thoughts like that or basically inspiring them!!! 😀 😇 🙏

      3. You’re welcome, and thank you Beverley. Prayers are most necessary, powerful and needed; especially in this chaotic time before us. I appreciate the little extra one for me as I need them more than ever too. I’ll remember you in mine also. God bless. Amen.
