Rejoicing In The Salvation Of The Lord

3–4 minutes

Thank God for the gift of Salvation – Day Two of our fourteen days of prayer.

The Jews in the Old Testament period waited a long time for the promised Messiah who would bring salvation to the world.

Yet, when the Messiah came into the world, born into a humble family, He was despised and rejected by His own people.

Nevertheless, that did not hinder the plan of God. Jesus fulfilled His first mission to earth, which was to die on the cross of Calvary.

The Father did not leave His Son in the grave but raised Him from the dead to a new resurrected life.

This is the foundation of the Christian faith!

This is the solid rock that the Church is built on and the gates of hell cannot prevail against it.

Salvation is offered freely to anyone who is willing to accept it.

Today, when you hear the voice of God calling you to repent, do not harden your heart but accept Him as your Savior.

How will anyone escape if they neglect this great salvation?

There is no excuse!

Therefore, this morning, let us pray for the souls who are hardening their hearts against this precious gift of salvation.

Today’s prayer will be taken from Hannah’s prayer in 1 Samuel 2.

Let us pray

Heavenly Father, Our hearts rejoice in you because of your salvation.

You are the rock of our salvation and there is no one holy like you.

You are a mighty God and there is no one like you.

Everything revolves around you, Lord.

It is you who kills and it is you who wakes us up to a new day every morning.

You bring down to the grave and raise up to live again.

You can make us poor and you can make us rich.

You are able to humble the proud and exalt those who are humble.

You, Lord, are able to lift the poor out of the dust and lift the beggar from the dunghill to establish them among princes and to cause them to inherit the throne of glory.

You, Lord, are able to make the impossible possible.

There is nothing too hard for you, Lord, because the pillars of the earth are yours and you establish the world upon them.

Lord, you are able to keep the feet of your saints and silence the wicked in darkness.

When you thunder from heaven to judge the ends of the earth you will break the adversaries to pieces, but you will give strength to your king and exalt the horn of your anointed.

Lord, we pray that you will rebuke the devourer for our sake so that he cannot destroy the fruits of our labor.

Lord, I pray that you remove every stubborn spirit; humble the proud heart and turn the stony heart to flesh to receive your gift of salvation.

We pray that no one will neglect this great salvation, but will acknowledge you as Lord and Saviour of their lives.

Lord, thank you for answering our prayers. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Thank God for the gift of Salvation – Day Two of our fourteen days of prayer.

Let us continue to pray for each other.

Matt of Jesuslusall’s Blog requested prayer that God will strengthen him to be able to share God’s Word and reach as many people as possible with his blog.

Also, Dawn of Drawing Closer to Christ pledged to join us in prayer every morning.

Help us pray for these two bloggers and all the others who are also praying along with us.

For you, I am praying!

      1. Amen sister I agree. Thank you also for all your comments on my post. That post of the Marine dying for other Marines got me teared up as a Marine veteran of Iraq myself.

      2. Yes it is heavy. After reading your reviews I know I could not watch it. That is how I am. I can’t handle certain graphic movies such as slavery, holocoust, war etc. But, it is good that you share it to let us be aware of what is happening in the war. It is a pleasure reading your posts. You are well educated and experienced in many things.
