Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: (Hebrews 11:35).
The entire chapter of Hebrews 11, tells us about the powerful patriarchs who by faith stood firm on God’s promises even though some of them never live to see the fulfillment of these promises.
All of these patriarchs were men, but then in the middle of the chapter, it states that the women received their dead raised to life again.
I believe this verse emphasized the power of a praying woman especially when they pray in agreement.
Many mothers are praying for the salvation of their wayward children. On the other hand, many women have difficulty to conceive and are praying for a child.
Many wives are praying for their unsaved husbands or for the restoration of their marriages.
Many women are praying for their healing or for the health of a loved one.
You may have been praying for many years and you may think that your situation is dead.
However, there is hope because your dead situation can be resurrected.
Reflect on Mary and Martha (John 11).
They received their dead brother Lazarus back to life when the Resurrection and Life arrived at their house.
The weeping widow received her dead son back to life when the Resurrection and Life saw her and had compassion on her. (Luke 7:12-14)
The widow of Zarephath’s and the Shunammite woman received their dead sons back to life when the prophets prayed to the Resurrection and Life. (1 Kings 17:17-24; 2 Kings 4:18-37)
Women, weep no more because your dead situations will be resurrected in the name of Jesus Christ – the Resurrection and Life.
Keep on praying and believing.
Keep on trusting in God because you will live to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
