Yet
Sometimes the trials of life can cause you to lose your joy.
In this world we will have tribulations, troubles and distressses.
But, Jesus told us to be joyful because He has overcome the world.
Since Jesus lives in our hearts we can also overcome the world because He is far greater than the devil who is in this world.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)
In spite of this knowledge, our feeble mind can become discouraged if we focus on the negative things around us.
The prophet Habakkuk was faced with famine and hardship, but he was determined to find a ray of hope in his gloomy circumstances.
He purposely decided that he will rejoice during the bad times, even when it appears as if everything around him was falling apart.
As children of the Most High God we have to take the high road and leave the valley of despair behind.
Therefore,
Regardless of the dark reality,
Let there be a yet that burst forth from deep within your soul.
Though the fig tree shall not blossom.
Though the fields do not yield any harvest and your labour is in vain.
Though the bank accounts are empty and the cupboards are bare.
Though unemployed and haunted by creditors.
Yet…
Though sickness and pain threatened to defeat you.
Yet…
Yet will I rejoice in the Lord.
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
Is there a yet in your heart?
Can you gather enough strength to say, “Yet”
Search deep within your spirit, for that yet.
Because only with that determine yet will you recover your inner joy.
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
The Lord God is my strength, and He will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and He will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments. (Habakkuk 3:17-19)
My prayer for you today is that the Lord will strengthen your feet so that you can walk upon your high places with a joyful heart.

So true Beverley. And YET in these tenuous and troublesome days we live in, we can always be thankful to our Heavenly Father, for His Word is ever so faithful and true….Your message pauses me to think upon Isaiah 41:10, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will STRENGTHEN thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”…..therefore the JOY of the Lord IS our STRENGTH. I firmly believe this, because I have had times, as we all have, that I have encountered situations that have come against me, but as you said above, we have Jesus in our heart, and yet we can muster up that joy in the midst of our weakness, and in His strenghth, and know our Heavenly Father is there to conquer and vanquish whatever it is, for nothing is impossible with God Almighty.
So yes, no matter what comes my way, yet I will continue to trust God and pray.
Thank you Beverley. Have a blessed day. ❤

To not lose our joy we must focus on the benefits of salvation. David said in Psalm 51:12, restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
