Wait For The Goodness Of The Lord

1–2 minutes

I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. (Psalms 27:13)

It is so easy to lose heart during these trying times.

You live from paycheck to paycheck.

Your living expenses are larger than your income, so your bills are piling up and the credit collectors are constantly ringing your phone.

If you are experiencing any or all of these things then it is easy to lose heart.

The problems of life can be so overwhelming that it is easy to simply give up.

Consider this: if you are giving up on a hard life, who or what are you surrendering to? It is impossible to surrender to a sinful world that created these problems.

It is best to surrender to the One who is willing to take your troubles.

As a matter of fact, He said you are to cast or throw all your cares upon Him because He cares for you.

He is calling everyone who has a burden to come to Him and He will relieve you of the heavy load and give you rest.

Since the Lord is willing and ready to take all of your problems then it is best to surrender them all to Him.

Let them go. Let go of the hurt. Let go of the pain. Give up and surrender all to Him.

The fact that the Lord cares about every aspect of your life is proof of His goodness in the land of the living.

There will also be an ultimate goodness that will be your reward in this land of the living.

Therefore, you cannot afford to lose heart!

So, it is best to:

Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord! Amen! (Psalms 27:14)
