But, your faith will make you rise again.

For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief. (Proverbs 24:16)

Have you ever wondered why the just falls seven times amd not six or eight?

Bear in mind that the just may never fall or if he does fall, it may only be once or twice.

However, it seems as if the just will only fall a maximum of seven and after the seventh fall, he will never fall again.

The word fall in the above verse means failure, lost or falling away.

The children of Israel marched around the city of Jericho seven days.

But, on the sevnth day, they marched seven times. On the seventh march they made a tremendous noise and the walls of Jericho fell flat never to rise again. (See Joshua 6)

The walls of Jericho fell down because of faith. (See Hebrews 11:30)

The unjust will fall once, but may never rise again.

The just may fall because of trials and persecutions, but they will rise again because of faith.

The seven falls of the just

1.  Mountains of troubles that block your progress from accomplishing your destiny.

Your faith will make you rise again because you can command the mountain to get out of your way.

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. (Matthew 17:20)

2. Giants living in your Promised Land and you fall because of fright.

Your faith will make you rise again because you believe that God will go before you to conquer the giants.

Understand therefore this day, that the Lord thy God is He which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire He shall destroy them, and He shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the Lord hath said unto thee. (Deuteronomy 9:3)

3. Poor health weakening your body and you collapse.

Your faith will make you rise again because your faith will make you whole.

And He said unto her, daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. (Mark 5:34)

4. The evil spirit of fear torments your mind until you lost your sanity and you fall.

Your faith will make you rise again because the perfect love of Jesus Christ who lives in your heart will drive out the spirit of fear.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. (1 John 4:18)

5.  You are persecuted daily and you are tired of the torture, so you surrendered to the severe pressure.

For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead. Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. (Psalms 143:2-3)

Your faith will make you rise again becasue you will remember the days of old and you will meditate on the works of the Lord.

Since God came through for you before He will do it again.

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. (2 Corinthians 4:8-10)

6. The attraction of worldly pleasures and the enticement of sin draw you back into the world.

Your faith will make you rise again because sin cannot have dominion over you because you are not under the law but under grace (Romans 6:14)

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. (Romans 6:11-12)

7. One of the fiery darts of the wicked pierces your heart and you fall.

Your faith will make you rise again because you are wearing the breast plate of faith that can quench the fiery darts of the wicked one.

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked (Ephesians 6:16)

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:8-9)
