Adorn Yourself In The Glory Of God

Did you know that the sinless Adam and Eve were not without clothing in the Garden of Eden?

This is contrary to what many people believe and so over the years the couple have been depicted stark naked in paintings.

Genesis 2:25 stated that the man and his wife were naked but were not ashamed. This means that that their bodies were bare of all the trappings of sin.

Because Adam and Eve were created in God’s image and likeness, they were clothed in the glory of God.

How does the glory of God appears?

The glory of God appears to the human eyes as a smoke or cloud.

This is noted when the glory of God descended in the new temple that king Solomon built for God at the dedication ceremony. (See 2 Chronicles 5)

Therefore, the sinless Adam and Eve clothing would appear to us as glistening white garments the texture of a cloud.

After Adam and his wife obeyed the serpent and partook of the knowledge of good and evil, they were stripped of the glory of God and were covered in sin.

They found themselves naked and ashamed!

Who told you that you are naked?” asked God.

A merciful God killed an animal and used its skin to make coats to cover the couple’s nakedness. (See Genesis 3:21).

Thus, as a result of sin the covering for the body is now animal skin or synthetic material.

However, you can also be covered with the glory of God.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:6)

Read: How will the glory of God affects you.

A prayer to manifest the glory of God.

You will be clothed in the glory of God with the garment of salvation and the robe of righteousness.

Amen! Praise the Lord!

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; and cried with a loud voice, saying, salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. (Revelation 7:9-10)

  1. Thanks much my dear sister for sharing.

Pondering this verse in Corinthians I see the reason for God to command light out of darkness. People needed salvation. They needed a purpose and a plan for their lives, and there is no better beginning than to begin a relationship with God.

God desired to give the light of the knowledge of Him through His Son Jesus who was the expressed image of His Father. We may now know God because His Son Jesus provided access to Him, and when that truth is birthed in our hearts we shall grow in our intimacy with the Heavenly Father.

Thanks again. I am blessed and inspired. May the Lord bless your life in amazing ways, my sister!

Do have a great weekend, inclusive of some rest. 🤗❤

  2. Very profound! To be covered in God’s glory! Amen. In eating from the tree, they lost The glory and hid. You have addressed this in a blessed way. There is no cotton or rayon in Heaven! Those who are there are covered in God’s glory! No ‘body parts’ for in God’s image we are made.
It was an AMAZING Essence that Moses saw from behind. God is beyond AWESOME! Amen. No “six pack”, but blinding glory! Hallelujah Amen.

In the physical we exist – for now, Amen. We are created in The Image of God, covered by His glory, we shall be as God is, Amen.

    • No six pack indeed. Sometimes we want to compare God with man, but God cannot be compared. He is truly glorious. Thank you for visiting and sharing. Have a great weekend.
