Don’t Dwell On The Past

1–2 minutes

You may not be able to forget your past mistakes, but you do not have to dwell on them.

It is true that you can learn from your mistakes. Your failures pave the way for your success.

There is not one successful person who did not at some point in their lives failed.

Yes, you will fail! You will make mistakes! But, the key is that when you do, you pick up the pieces and try again.

The Lord is a God of second chances and He is always doing something new. Therefore, always look for the new thing that He is doing in your life.

The Lord said that the new thing will spring up like springs of water in the desert.

The springs will bring refreshment to a parched empty soul. It will revitalize and strengthen you.

When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. (Isaiah 41:17-18)

  1. It is not the failures of the past that are keeping our church in bondage these days. It is our successes from the past that are holding us hostage. We are refusing to let the Lord do a new thing with a new generation because we have made an idol out of the things God did in the past.

    1. I agree with you. I never thought of it that way. The Church is still holding on to the great move that God made years ago for that generation. The Lord is doing a new and even mightier move for this present generation but the Church refuse to see it. Have a blessed day.

God is amazing. He will help you and forgive you when you fail. He will save you again. It does not mean we can do what we want and use His grace cheaply. God however knows your heart. Turn your heart back to Him again if you had for a moment turn it to the things of the world. He will forgive you again. Ask Him to help you if you struggle to overcome something. He will help you.

  4. I have made so many mistakes. I try to remind myself that God says as far as east is from west he removes our sins and mistakes from him.
